Getting My Body Back Friday - How to Apply the Power of Concentration for Effective Workout

Have you ever heard the saying, "Get your head in the game?" In order for you to get effective results in your workout routine you need to 'get your head in the game'. You need to be there mentally as you apply the power of concentration.

Here are 3 tips to use the power of concentration to enhance your workout

Tip #1 - Isolate the muscles you're working on

Think of the area you're working on and focus on the muscles in that area. For example, if you're strengthening the biceps, focus on these muscles as you work them. Concentrate on the movement. Don't just go through the repetitions. Focus on contracting those muscles as hard as you can.

Tip #2 - Use visualization

As you contract the muscles, visualize them becoming firmer and stronger as you work them. Get your emotions involved as well. Bring all of your attention to this process. You are using more than just the physical body to get you the results you want. You are also drawing in the universal energy to aid you.

Tip # 3 - Focus on your breathing

Inhale deeply, drawing in life-energy. Empower every cell within your body allowing them to be refreshed and energized with every cleansing breath. Exhale, releasing all of the toxins and negative energy from your body.

You'll find that you'll benefit a whole lot more from your workout routine when you are present and not drifted off somewhere else as your body does the work. Think of how much more power you're drawing into you as you 'get your head in the game' and engage in your workout routine.
