Action Thursday - Start with Something Small to Become Empowered from Within

So you're working towards getting the results you want but you find it overwhelming or a bit confusing, so what do you do? Start with something small so you can become empowered from within. If this is something you're now learning to do, in order to get the hang of it, you need to begin with something that's not pressing on your mind as much.

Here's a simple exercise you can apply today.

If you find yourself getting frustrated at your work or at home, stop yourself and ask the Spirit for help and guidance. If you're looking for something and can't find it, ask the Spirit to help you and show you where it is.

Think of the different things you encounter during the day time and those issues that seem to get 'under your skin'. Here's the opportunity to turn within and become empowered from within by asking the Spirit for wisdom and direction to deal with the situation peacefully.

Practice looking within first.

I say 'practice' because if you've been accustomed to getting all upset about things first, you'd need to practice reminding yourself to calm down, look within and ask the Spirit for help until this becomes your new habitual mindset.

As you master this, you'll find that you'll begin to see your way much clearer and you'll know how to deal with much more complex issues and break them down each step until you find resolution.

  1. You are so right, Alicia. Turning things over to the Spirit is so much more freeing than trying to solve problems beyond our grasp. He is the Creator of the Universe and does not need our help managing things and solving problems! Your method is a great one to practice on a moment-to-moment basis. Thanks for the reminder. Doing that also brings peace. Susan

  2. Hey Alicia, I just love this advice. I usually get upset first and then have to stop and calm down, but asking the Spirit for help first is a great Idea. I'm going to practice this for sure Thanks.

  3. You're welcome Susan. I find it very stress-free when we allow the Spirit to lead us. We can find our place of peace knowing that all is well.

  4. I know what you mean Tracey. I used to be the same way. With this method I quickly remind myself or the Spirit reminds me what to do.
