Action Thursday - 8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 4

Your willingness in anything you do plays a big part in achieving any goal. It's no point wanting to get something if you are unwilling to follow Spirit guidance to get it. It is our willingness that causes us to reap the bounty. 

If I asked you for help and you offered to help me and then I'm unwilling to take the help you're giving me especially if that's the thing that I really need to get me to where I want to be, then what can anyone do? Until I'm willing to accept the help, I'd never experience the success that I desire to achieve. 

We'll continue on today with Steps 7 and 8. Be sure to check the previous posts, Monday - Wednesday, if you missed Steps 1 - 6.

7) Be willing to change your strategy

There were times that I had to change my strategy to get the results I wanted. When I found that one way seemed to give results at first but then the seat belt was stuck I had to change my strategy and find another easier way to loosen the belts. 

If you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you're getting little to no results, or you're getting some results and then you keep getting stuck, there may be a simpler, easier solution to your situation. Don't keep repeating the same thoughts, actions and words over and over again and expect to get different results. Of course you're getting the same results because you have not changed your mindset in the first place. 

Change your strategy. Ask for wisdom and then take action on the inspired direction you get. 

Bonus Step #8 - Don't despise the help package

I called one of my daughters to help me hold the lever as I pulled apart the bottom support piece on the car seat. I did try to do it myself initially but realized I needed help. Now, I could have rejected the idea of asking for help but wisdom says it's okay to get help when necessary. 

Sometimes we want to take on projects all by ourselves and then we become overwhelmed when we're all alone. Pay attention to when help shows up to support you. It's all the Universal Energy coming to your aid to make your load lighter and your journey less bumpy. 

Don't despise the help package. The help you need may not come in the way you expected but it will help you achieve the ends results you desire. Whether it came from a child, your spouse, a friend or a stranger, the Great Universal Spirit has conspired to aid you on your path. Ask for the wisdom to recognize your helper. 

Are you stuck? What situation are you facing right now that you need help with to 'dismantle or reassemble your baby car seat'? You see, it doesn't matter what the circumstance is, whether big or small, God is always ready to help, the wisdom is always available, there is always a way out. Take each step and apply to your own life. Believe that you will come through this as you become empowered from within.

Being a parent is a joyful time but can also be challenging. However, the lessons we learn if we pay attention to them can be quite valuable. Raising children teaches us so many things about ourselves and causes us to look at life from a different angle. Our children are given to us, not only to guide them in fulfilling their life-purpose, but in helping us develop the skills we need to fulfill our own. Every aspect of child-rearing is a chance to do exactly that. 

Let's look at Steps 5 and 6 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat.

5) Have a determined mindset

If you are willing to press forward despite the obstacles, you will get the results you desire in the end. I could have given up when at times no matter what I tried didn't seem to work. But that's when your determined mindset - the mental attitude that says, "I can do this. I will get the results I desire," - sets your mind to only see the positive, to see the finish line, to see success and not failure. With this mindset, you can push pass any disappointments, obstacles or setbacks.

6) Be persistent until you succeed

I kept examining the car seat, looking over the sides, using my observational skills to understand how it was put together and listened to the wisdom of the Spirit. At one time I found myself thinking, if they got the seat belts on there has to be a way for it to come off. Armed with that inner instinct, I knew I'd find a way. 

With a determined mindset, you'll take persistent action until you succeed. You don't give up. For every little step you take you move closer towards your goal. If you stop and turn back, you have surely forfeited your right to success. Rest if you must. Take a break if you have to. Clear your mind and regain strength and come back with a fresh perspective but keep moving forward - be persistent until you succeed.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 2

The simplest things around us can teach us the most profound life lessons if we pay attention to them and apply them to other areas of our lives.

Today we'll look at Step 3 and Step 4 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat. If you missed the introduction and Step 1 and 2, check out yesterday's post.

3) Ask for wisdom

I asked the Spirit for wisdom each step of the way. I said, "Holy Spirit, please help me to figure this out. Please show me how to pull this apart." Knowing that I had help gave me the encouragement I needed to pursue my goal.

Often times we take on tasks by ourselves thinking that we are all alone and we have no help. But when you realize that you have the Universal Wisdom within you - you have access to all knowledge - there's nothing that can stop you from achieving your goals. You are not alone. You do not have to rely on limited knowledge when you have access to the Unlimited Supply. 

4) Take Action

I took action on what I knew and worked with that. Whatever little knowledge you do have is a seed you can sow into the Soil of the Spirit and when sown will begin to grow and expand. As I asked the Spirit for help, I took small steps toward achieving my goal and those smalls steps were expanded on by the Wisdom of the Spirit. 

You see, because I was open to Spirit guidance, my actions were also directed by Spirit hands. I recall using the screwdriver at one point to pry open one of the parts. I had fiddled with it for a bit - pressing the buttons around it but it didn't work - I just felt to push the screwdriver underneath and voila, it came apart so easily. 

The Spirit knows the exact path you should go, the exact steps you should take and the exact words you should say. So when you yield into the Divine Wisdom whatever you put your hand to becomes successful.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 1

Our due date for having our new baby is fast approaching and as other times we're getting all baby stuff washed and prepared for the new arrival. This is the first time I'm taking apart the car seat so the material and belts can be washed in the washing machine and the actual seat scrubbed and set to dry. Having no manual to instruct me, I set out on this challenging adventure of dismantling the sophisticatedly manufactured car seat. 

I knew the bottom part of the car seat could come apart but I wasn't sure where the button was located so I started with what I could. I began to pull the belts out. I asked the Spirit to give me the wisdom I needed to separate the bottom support piece from the top. 

As I closely examined each piece, still feeling quite unsure how to separate them, I continued with open mind. And there it was, the lever I needed to make the separation. At this point I needed an extra pair of hands to hold on to the lever as I pulled the bottom piece off, so I called one of my daughters to help me. 

Then, it was on to removing the fabric from the actual seat and finally freeing all the belts. With each step, I continued to rely on the wisdom of the Spirit to guide me until the car seat was completely bare. 

Now let's look closely at the steps you can use to help you accomplish anything you set out to do so you can become empowered from within, achieve your goals and change your life. 

1) Clarity - get clear on what you want

I knew exactly what I wanted the end results to be - to have a clean car seat for the new baby. I knew that I had to take everything apart even though I had no manual to guide me. Initially I had no idea how I was going to make this happen, but I knew what I wanted and that was good enough.

When you are clear on what you'd like the outcome of your desire to be, it does not matter if you don't know how to produce the actual results or know what action steps to take at first. What you need will be provided each step of the way. Your job is to become clear on what it is you want. 

2) Decision - decide what you want

I made a decision that I was going to wash the car seat materials and in order to do that I'd have to take everything apart. I did not allow my lack of knowledge to resolve the situation to stop me from making the initial step. I made a firm decision that I would get the results I wanted. 

As you make a firm decision and keep reaffirming that decision each step of the way, the universe will bring all the aid you need to help you achieve your goal. I could have given up and allowed the situation to dictate the outcome of inactivity, but I knew that there was a way and I would find it even if I had to take small steps at first.

Getting My Body Back Friday - Using the Power of Unconditional Love to Overcome Heath Issues

Unconditional Love gives life, it nurtures and heals. No matter what ailment you face, whether physical or emotional illness or weight issues, you can use the Power of Unconditional Love to overcome them. 

Ever noticed how a plant repairs and heals itself if the stem bends? I recall a couple years ago when our broccoli stems bent over, I thought for sure they were going to die. But we decided to leave them to see what would happen. And as mother nature's love took over the healing process the stems became stronger each day. 

Many of our illnesses and weight issues come from blockages within our own bodies that prevent the natural healing process to take place. But when we allow the light of Unconditional Love to penetrate the dark areas within us, the debris that hinders the healing process begin to loosen its grip and give way to the healing energy of the Power of Unconditional Love. 

Here's a step you can use today to get you started

Ask, "What area of my life needs healing?" By asking this question, you're allowing the Spirit to shine light in this area of your life and now you are consciously open to receive the healing energy flowing through you. 

Each day consciously visualize and feel the healing energy fill this area. If your doctor gave you medication to take daily, wouldn't you take it? Sure you would. Take the daily dosage of Unconditional Love and oh by the way, you can never overdose on this 'medication'.

Action Thursday - 4 Action Steps to Go Deeper to Experience the Power of Unconditional Love

If you truly want to experience the power of Unconditional Love in your life you will need to make the decision to set aside the time to enter into the silence and become consciously away of Love's presence. It is in the awareness that the connection is made so you can begin to experience Love's embrace. 

Let's look at some action steps you can take to make more time to enter the silence so you can go deeper to experience the power of Unconditional Love in your life.

Action Step #1 - Analyze your schedule

Get a pen and paper out and write out your daily schedule. Once completed, look over your schedule to see what could be eliminated or what you could spend less time doing. Ask, "Is this really important? Is this adding value to my life and how is it helping me achieve the goals I want? 

Action Step #2 - Schedule your quiet time

When you consciously schedule your quiet time, you'll find it helpful for you to remember to spend this time connecting to your power Source. It will also help you create the daily habit needed to fit in with your schedule and not become something that you do once in a while. 

After you've eliminated or minimized the time spent on activities that aren't adding value to you, adjust your schedule to include your silent time. Let it be priority, first thing of the day so you become powered up from within to go through the day. 

Action Step #3 - Scheduled Increments

If you've scheduled a larger portion of your quiet time in the morning, schedule smaller increments during the day to find a quiet place, withdraw your attention from the external world and get into your inner 'closet' so you can re-energize your life-energy. 

My morning quiet hour is so important for me as it rejuvenates me and set the tone for the rest of the day. I find when I miss this time, I find myself feeling agitated and not as calm when dealing with other issues as they arise. I spend my quiet time until I feel satisfied from within. It's like having a big morning meal and then having smaller meals throughout the day. 

Action Step #4 - Develop the habit of inner consciousness

Once you have your schedule in place, you can begin to take this up a notch. Develop the habit of inner consciousness. And what I mean by that is no matter what you're doing be in conscious awareness of the Spirit within you. Involve the Spirit in all you do. Be in constant communication with the Spirit as if you were consciously aware of a friend with you at all times. 

As you do this, you are allowing the Presence of Unconditional Love to influence all you do. You will continue to sink your roots deeper into love and you'll grow stronger and experience more of the Presence and Power of Unconditional Love.

Changed in the Presence of Unconditional Love

It is said that bad company corrupts good manners. We begin to become like the people we hang out with - in the way we think, talk and act. Whatever you're trying to achieve in your life and whoever you desire to become, your constant companions should reflect the change you desire to manifest in your life.

In order for us to be filled with love, we must spend time in the Presence of Love that the face of love is imprinted into our image and the life of love flow through our inner being. 

Each day as you spend time in silence and open yourself up to the Presence of Unconditional Love your inner being becomes imprinted with love's image. You cannot be in the stream of love's embrace and not experience change. More light flows into you as the debris of life are washed downstream. You become more radiant each day, filled with more of the energy of life. 

You see, we experience all the negativity of life when we are less conscious of the life-giving power of Unconditional Love. The more we are occupied with and spend time with the externals of life we become affected by all the negativity that's around. Sooner or later we too become infected and display symptoms of our environment. 
But as we draw ourselves away into the silence of the Spirit and lavish our inner being with the sustenance of life we become enriched from within, the image of love becomes more and more imprinted within us and is reflected in our outer world. We adopt the face of Unconditional Love. The deeper we go into the silence, the more of the treasure of the Spirit's light we extract from the universal realm of Love. 

We must admit though that the illusion of the external life has become a distracting factor to what is truth and to what life is all about. If we were to remove all our concerns of financial, relationship and personal issues along with all the trappings we have that we call important, what's left? What did we come to earth with and what shall we take with us when our journey is ended? 

In the light of these sobering questions, what can we do to eliminate the external distractions that keep us from connecting to the Source of our life? All that's real is Love and where there's love there's life. All others become secondary. All others fade away in time. All that remains constant is LOVE. 

Evaluate what's most important in your life and when you've reached that decision all else must become secondary on your daily agenda to spending time in the silence of the Presence of Unconditional Love.

Unconditional Love - A 3 Step Process To Give Love Consciously

We all know love is a universal language which transcends all racial, political, social and language barriers. Love is an energy which can be felt whenever you're in the presence of the giver, without spoken words. It is communicated on a subconscious level of our being but affects in a positive way on a very conscious level. 

The strong bond of love brings people together, bind and hold them together in the face of any adversity. When we consciously give love, we are actively participating in the healing process of, not only ourselves, but of our environment and of all others around. We are sending out healing waves to others, just the opposite of what we do when we send off destructive energy through hate, anger, resentment, depression etc. 

Let's look at a 3 step process to being a conscious giver of love.

Step 1 - Spiritual consciousness

Unconditional Love comes from the source of the Great Universal Spirit. It comes from God and flows directly to all of nature and humanity. So when you are conscious of where love comes from you can connect with it and open your inner being to be saturated with Unconditional Love. Once you have consciously filled up your inner love tank, you can now take it to the next level.

Step 2 - Mental consciousness

Consciously direct the energy of love toward those you come into contact with each day - whether it's your family, friends, or other people. Feel the love as it flows inside of you from the Ocean of Unconditional Love and extend it to those around you. 

Step 3 - Physical consciousness

Consciously give away this love in many different forms. You can choose to physically express this love through a kiss, a hug, a smile, a kind word or gesture or by picking up the phone and calling a friend to see how he/she is doing. Get creative. The more you give love, the more you'll find that you have to give and the more satisfied you'll feel inside.

The funny thing about being a conscious giver of love is that even though you give it away, the benefits to you are beyond limit. You, the giver, feel joyous, alive and if you pay close attention when you extend a hug to someone, even a small child, you feel the warmth of love welling up inside of you, healing you from the inside. Choose love each day and tap into the unlimited supply of power.

Love is universal and all of us have the seed of Unconditional Love in our hearts waiting for the opportunity to germinate and grow to maturity. 

As we celebrate Valentine's Day, allow the seed of Unconditional Love to germinate as you give the gift of Unconditional Love.

What is the Source of Unconditional Love?

Unconditional Love comes from the Great Universal Spirit which gives life to all and nurtures all. When we allow ourselves to be the conduit through which Unconditional Love expresses itself, we subconsciously allow others to grow as we nurture them with love.

Be a conscious giver of love

Whether you choose to express this love with a physical gift, a smile, a kind word or thoughts of forgiveness, let love be the only motive. Let your love be 'in spite of' and not 'because of'. There's greater virtue in loving others in spite of themselves - to look beyond their tattered lives of negativity and choose to love them anyway and not only because they did something good for us. 

As you shift your focus from the external negative behaviour of others, connect with the love that's within your own heart that comes from the Great Universal Spirit. Allow it to grow from within, emerge and extend outward to those around you, even to those that are indifferent. 

Consciously let this become your daily practice and you'll find it becoming easier each day to shift into love and not become consumed by hate, anger, resentment etc. You'll find your life becoming more enwrapped with Unconditional Love.

Getting My Body Back Friday - Going Deeper to Go Higher to Achieve Optimum Health

The deeper you go into your inner being and connect with your power Source the healthier you become. This inner connection draws life energy from the Spirit which not only energizes and enlivens your inner being but your physical body as well. 

Your inner connectivity to the Spirit rejuvenates every cell in your body. And as you remain in the positive flow of the Spirit all that negative energy debris gives way to the life-giving flow of the Spirit through you. 

Many times this time is sacrificed because of our busy schedules. Take a look at your schedule to see what could be eliminated to free up your time to spend more quality time rejuvenating your life energy. Often times there are many things that we call important that are not quite so important in light of the big picture. Prioritize your schedule and eliminate things that could be eliminated or be done at another time. 

As you get into the routine of spending this quiet time connecting to the Source of your power, you'll find that you'll want to do this more often as you find yourself going deeper and enjoying a higher quality of life. 

Your body will thank you, things will begin to flow more easily and you'll feel more relaxed and energized. What do you think will happen to your health and weight?

Action Thursday - Empowered from Within - Are you reasoning away your answer?

Sometimes we tend to reason away our answer when it comes. We hear it but instead of responding and acting on it, we bring reasoning and logic into play. When we get an instruction from the Spirit, it may not always make sense at first to the conscious mind but it will be right on target when implemented. Go ahead and act on your instructions and you'll see how beneficial the results turn out and how empowered you feel.

Here are 4 tips you can use right now to stop reasoning away your answers.

Tip 1 - Practice being present

When you are alert to what`s happening in the present you are positioned to hear what the Spirit is saying to you. You can hear the wisdom that comes to you. Practice being present. As your attention is drawn to what the Spirit is showing you, release the other distractions, even if it`s something you think that`s important right at that moment so you can fully understand the wisdom the Spirit has to offer. The Spirit knows what`s important or not and if the answer has come to you at that moment then anything else takes second place. 

Tip 2 - Act on what you hear

Act on the instructions you get from the Spirit. Don`t set it aside thinking that you`ll get back to it at a more convenient time. The convenient time is right there, right now when the Spirit prompts you to act. Another moment from now will be too late. 

My 2 year old daughter is now going through the stage of potty training. Often times I`d feel the inner prompting; it`s time to take her to the bathroom again. Whenever I acted on this prompting, we`d be okay. To delay would give way to an accident. This may seem like a minor incident but it`s a great training ground for other things. When you train you ears to hear the Spirit, and more so act on the inner guidance, you`ll be ready for other more serious incidents and know how to avert them. 

Tip 3 - Stop second guessing yourself

Sometimes during the training process I`d feeling the prompting but then if I`m in the middle of something I`d be thinking that I just took her to the bathroom, does she need to go again so soon? As soon as I`d say that for sure, here comes an accident. 

Whenever you second guess yourself and start reasoning about the instructed wisdom, you miss out on the help you need in your daily activities. Life becomes harder and the mess difficult to clean up, which could have been avoided in the first place. 

Tip 4 - Be willing

It is not always convenient when the Spirit decides to give you wisdom to do something but it is always rewarding when you are willing and act upon the instruction. Your unwillingness to do what the Spirit has prompted you to do can be quite costly which could have kept you from an embarrassing moment, disappointment or a negative encounter.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When funds are low and the debts are high,

Empowered from Within - Go Deeper to Go Higher

When we encounter personal life situations, instead of becoming empowered from within, the tendency is to look at them and react, often times, negatively to them. Instead of going deeper within we come up out of our inner sanctuary and stand in frustration, resentment or anger over the situation. 

The situation becomes the teaser to pull us out from our place of peace. Situations will always arise, but until we develop the habit of going deeper to go higher, we will always continue to go with the conditioned subconscious programming of going shallow to go lower.

You see when you try to resolve your personal struggles with only your mind it's like you're fishing in shallow waters. Fishing in shallow waters only results in small fish. The mind can only go with what's seen - what's known, what is already formed. 

But if you go deep within, you draw from the Unlimited Supply of the Spirit and that's like fishing in deep waters. What kind of fish will you catch? Exactly. In the deep waters you'll find large fish that do not swim in shallow waters. And that's where you'll find the answers to resolve all issues you encounter which will instruct the mind in the direction that it should go. 

How do we become empowered from within to go deeper?

1) Look to the Unlimited Supply

We know that the inner sanctuary that's connected to the vast universal supply and wealth of knowledge and wisdom is available to us at all times. When we face a difficult situation, instead of allowing the limited to dictate our thoughts and reactions, look within to the Unlimited realm of the Spirit. 

2) Know that the answer is already there

Know that the answer lies within you. Then focus on the fact that you do know what to do even if your mind has not yet consciously caught on, on this fact. Relax in this assurance that you know - you have the answer.

3) Allow the answer to emerge

As if listening to a friend to give you some information or how-to instructions, bring your attention to the place of the inner knowing. Turn your ear inwardly and listen. Turn your eyes inwardly. Pay attention as you wait for the answer to emerge. Clear your mind so that it would not be blocked by the debris of mental confusion and information overload from the outer voices.

4) Ask

"What do I do next?" and be willing to do what you've been instructed to do. Remain in the place of peace and keep sending your attention and focus deeper in spite of what's going on around you. This will take practice to keep your mind focused on what is unseen instead of on your circumstance but keep doing the mental shift into the place of peace.

5) Are you reasoning away your answer?

Sometimes we tend to reason away our answers when it comes. We hear it but instead of responding and acting on it, we bring reasoning and logic into play. When we get an instruction from the Spirit, it may not always make sense at first to the conscious mind but it will be right on target when implemented. Go ahead and act on your instructions and you'll see how beneficial the results turn out and how empowered you feel.

Saturday Tunespiration - Proof Your Dreams Can Come True - Do You Believe?

Almost 2 years ago we watched Susan Boyle go from wishing to actually experiencing her dream come true. If you recall, Susan's first appearance on Britain's Got Talent was met with scoffers at first. But that never fazed her. She stood up for what she believed in and belted out her song leaving the judges, audience and the world in complete amazement at her spectacular vocals. 

When Susan was asked, "Who would you like to be as successful as?" Her response was, "Elaine Paige." Her response was met with rolled eyes and the 'yeah right' energy of the audience. Check out the 1st video below.

The audience had no idea that she was about to 'rock' them until that first note that belted out from her strong vocals. And that's not all; Susan later on got to share the stage performing a duet with her idol Elaine Paige. How about that for having your dream come true? 

Was the journey easy for Susan? Of course not. Did she feel like quitting along the way? Sure she did. But she never did. She kept pressing forward in spite of the critics, in spite of the negative experiences of the past. Today we admire Susan because even though many years had gone by where she wished she could live her dream, she proved that it's never too late. 

Now, what about you? Have you thrown in the towel? Do you think it's too late for you? Here's proof that's it's never too late no matter what others may say. But the question is, "Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone and take the risk to live your dreams? Here's another one, "Are you willing to face the criticism of family or friends who say that you can't or shouldn't because they don't think it's possible or you should even go there?"

On your journey to fulfilling your dream, not everyone is going to agree with you or support you and don't expect them to. The help you need will show up, sometimes in unlikely people and events but it will get you to where you need to be and position you for your blessing. Be open and willing to accept the vessel the Universe has chosen for you.  

You could be the one saying, "Look at me now. I did it. I made it."

Getting My Body Back Friday - How to Stay Conscious to Avoid the Effects of Anxiety on Your Body

Anxiety, like stress, puts strain on the body cells which produces a negative effect on your health. It can zap your energy and motivation to exercise, leaving you feeling fatigued and uninspired. Knowing that anxiety remains as the underlying influential emotion to other emotions and ultimately your negative reaction to your circumstances, it is important that you stay conscious of what's occurring in your body to avoid the negative effects. 

When you are consciously aware of what's going on in your body you are better positioned to avoid or get rid of the unwanted occupancy of negative emotions. Many times we become overly busy with our daily responsibilities and become enwrapped with the past or future that we're not aware of what's happening right now - in the present. In this mindset anxiety has a way of being the underlying influential guest in our inner domain. 

So what can you do today to turn this around?

You'd have to make this a conscious effort at first until it becomes a habit. 

Practice conscious awareness

Make the decision to practice conscious awareness of your body. To get you started before you get into your busy schedule, set aside some quiet time to really get used to feeling the message your body is sending off. This will give you an indication of what you're really thinking as opposed to what you want to think. There's a difference. 

You may want to think about being positive and optimistic but the truth is you're actually feeling worried or frustrated. As you practice conscious awareness, starting with your quiet time, these true emotions and thoughts can surface and then you're in a position to deal with them directly before you start your day. 

Take a few minutes during the day at several intervals to stop your busyness and become quiet just to pay attention to what emotional message your body is sending off. As you become conscious of anxiety, release it and like a healing balm, invite peace and relaxation into your body and mind. 

You'll find yourself more joyful and energized to continue on with your daily activities. You could set specific times during the day, like at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., if this will help you remember and develop the habit of conscious body awareness. 

Whatever method you choose to use make it a regular practice that works for you.

Action Thursday - Overcoming Anxiety – 4 Steps to Release Anxiety

Anxiety, like any other emotion, can be felt throughout your body. It starts with your thoughts – how you feel about a particular situation - which results in anxiety. The underlying emotion is usually fuelled by fear giving rise to anxiety and in turn this anxiety fuels other reactor emotions like anger, frustration, irritation etc. 

You can consciously release anxiety from your life. Instead of allowing it to control you and zap you of your joy and peace, you can release the negative energy from your mind and your body. 

Step 1 - Feel the anxiety where it's located in your body and mind 

Anxiety creeps in when we are unconscious of what’s happening in our emotions. When you become fully aware, fully present and not distracted, you are able to feel the location of the anxiety in your mind and in your body. 

Step 2 - Consciously release the anxiety from your body

Once you’ve located the anxiety, it’s time to release it. E.g. you may feel irritation in your forehead or agitation in your body, consciously release it. You’ll begin to feel the tightness in your mind and tension in your body releasing. 

Step 3 - Visualize it leaving your body 

Use visualization to enhance this process. See your anxiety leaving your body and going downstream and being washed away by the peaceful flow of positive energy from the Spirit. Let it go. Forgive anyone that’s offended you and forgive yourself. Free yourself from the entanglement of the negative energy. 

Step 4 - Replace anxiety with peace and relaxation 

Continue with the visualization process and feel the flow of peace and relaxation entering your mind and your body. Feel the tightness of your mind begin to loosen as peace replaces it. Feel your body become lighter and relaxed. Bask in this moment until you feel satisfied. 

When you follow these steps, you’ll find yourself feeling much calmer and in this positive energy you’re able to attract inspired ideas to you to resolve the situation that led to the anxiety in the first place.

Overcoming Anxiety - How to Consciously Identify the Source of your Anxiety to Overcome It

So you find yourself snapping at your friends, your family or your associates for things you’d normally be calm about. What’s happening here? What’s going on? 

Without closer attention to the emotion, you find yourself being upset at what the person just did. But on closer examination of your emotions, after the air is cleared and you calm down, the real culprit behind the scene was your anxiety. 

Let’s look at 3 steps you can use to consciously identify the source of your anxiety so you can deal with it directly. 

1) Do a self-analysis 

Ask yourself, “What’s the true emotion that’s fuelling my irritation or anger?” By asking this question, you are beginning the process of uncloaking the offending emotion so you can consciously deal with it. Whenever you leave emotions unchecked you’re allowing it to be the instigator behind other negative emotions you’re experiencing. 

2) Identify the cause of your anxiety 

What’s the cause of your anxiety? Is it because of a failing relationship, a job situation, business not going the way you want it to, financial or other issues? After identifying the source of the anxiety, you need to look at it ‘square in the face’. Shoving it beneath the rug will only cause it to worsen. 

3) Deal with the anxiety 

When you’re dealing with anxiety, you need to bring all of your attention to what’s happening inside of your mind and inside of your body. Your thoughts, filled with some form of fear, drive the anxiety throughout your body. What can you do now to turn your situation around? What steps can you take to create change? Do it now. Don’t procrastinate, you’ll feel better after you’ve taken some action steps to deal with the issue. 

What if it’s something that you can’t change, like the other person’s behaviour in a relationship? You can change the way you feel about the situation. You can choose to be happy. You can choose to release the anxiety and invite peace in the middle of your storm.
