Do you like the Grandma Mazur in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series? Then, you'll love Hot Chocolate

If you like Grandma Mazur in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, you'll love Hot Chocolate. The characters are all quirky and funny, and, when you aren't laughing out loud, you'll be smiling! It’s a hilarious cozy mystery novel set in the very wealthy Houston suburb of River Oaks. Filled with quirky, eccentric characters involved in murder and chocolate, this book is like watching a Woody Allen movie - even the minor characters are quirky and wonderful.

Here’s the plot: The middle-aged Alcott sisters, heiresses to the Alcott chocolate fortune--Madge, Lila Mae and Dorothea--are fit to be tied. In the midst of busy lives, they must deal with their ninety-two year old father, Bernie, who has become quite the handful. His nurse Bambi, is another kind of handful, but when they decide they must move Bernie to an assisted living facility, the generous severance package they offer to Bambi is not enough to ward off a lawsuit brought by Bambi's husband, Jimmy Ray Chaline. Luckily, the Alcotts, very wealthy and well-known in Houston society, have a great lawyer. Chances are good that the suit will be dismissed as frivolous.

Hot Chocolate is a captivating tale with vivid and fun characters. You could almost visualize yourself socializing with them, and definitely enjoy their interactions with one another. They felt like real sisters, albeit high-society ones. Dorothea is typically the "baby" of the family, and definitely likes being the center of attention. Lila Mae relies on astrology and believes that proper Feng Shui arrangements in a room can make all the difference. Madge, as the oldest, has some unusual habits. Even the peripheral characters, like the staff at each of their homes, as well as Lila Mae's astrologer, felt like important pieces of the production. You'll also enjoy close-ups of the relationship between Chance (a detective with the police force) and Lila Mae, not a typical pairing.

Anyway, I know you will love this book, so grab a copy and you’ll also get about 60 bonuses including a preview of many other new and exciting novels along with terrific self-help tools. ENJOY! http://bit.ly/HtChoc

Everything about you leads to a greater plan - one that you may never had thought about or imagined. Don’t take your life for granted and think that you’re just here taking up space. Your space in this grand design has an ultimate purpose and it cannot be filled with anyone else but you.

What happens when you begin to ask questions?

Questions lead to answers and answers lead to understanding. Once you begin to understand, you have a clearer image of the whole scope of life. You begin to see life and yourself from a different perspective. Each day is met with renewed enthusiasm. With that understanding you can share with others around you so they too can be inspired, uplifted and transcended to a higher standard of living and life.

So what type of questions should you ask? I’ll give you two to begin with.

Observational questions

These questions come from observing your own actions and emotions. Why do I act the way I do? Why am I feeling this emotion? Then you may ask, “How can I change this emotion? How can I respond differently to this?” You see you’re paying attention to you and by paying attention and asking questions in order to improve and change your life the universal power is able to bring the answers you need to help you.

Transformational questions

Transformational questions come from looking deeper into life. You observe nature – trees, animals, the planets – and the nuggets you get from observing them inspire your own life and give you deeper understanding of living.

For example, by observing the growth process of an oak tree, you see that before the oak tree matures, it must start from a seed. The seed when sown in the soil is nurtured as it continues to grow into a seedling and overtime matures into a large tree where birds and squirrels come and find shelter and food.

You can compare this to your own life. How can I apply this to my life? What does this mean for me? How can this help me change my life from the inside out? You may use this as an analogy to help you reprogram your subconscious mind so you can create the changes you desire.

Each stage of your thoughts goes through a process of seed thought and when nurtured with your emotions and actions comes into physical manifestation over time not only benefiting and transforming your life but also influencing the life of those around you.

As stated before, questions lead to answers, answers give understanding and as a result not only is your life changed but you also influence the life of those around you. Begin to look at everything around you and instead of taking things for granted because you’ve grown accustomed to them, look for the fresh nugget each day, in each event and from each person that comes into your life.

Look for and Embrace the Colour in your Life to Bring Out the Unique in You

Our world is filled with colours everywhere. And now that fall is here you can see nature displaying colours of bright yellows and red amidst the rich green. As we leave the summer colours behind - the flowers around, beautiful purple, pink, red, yellow, white etc. – and head into a new season, you learn to welcome and embrace each change.

Check out the colours of the insects – butterflies and bees. What about the varying colours of animals. The rainbow displays the primary colours of nature, the sun its brilliant yellow, the moon borrowing off the sun’s rays to light up the sky with bright white. Isn’t nature beautiful? Life is not dull and boring; even the browns of nature creates a balance and acts as an enhancer of the more brilliant tones. Everything has its place and purpose.

Today’s Featured Item is a ladies crocheted hat with beige as its main colour representing the grounding tone of the earth’s soil. The hat also has multi-colours of red, gold, green and white representing some of earth’s radiant colours.

Your life is also filled with many tones and shades, never a consistently dull moment. As each season of nature brings in new colours of various shades, so do the seasons of your life bring in new adventure with new life lessons to help you grow and become stronger spiritually, mentally and physically.

Even though we may not necessarily be looking forward to the cooler weather, if we were to enjoy the present and look for the miracles and blessings of each season and all the changes that come with it, life unfolds to us a more brilliant splendour. We begin to see life through Spirit eyes and embrace each day with renewed enthusiasm.

Everything goes in cycles, everything changes, nothing stays the same and nothing lasts forever. What we have is here and now and even though you may have gone through many fall seasons in nature, each of them is never exactly the same. Each fall comes with a slight difference from the last. It is the difference that makes the uniqueness between the same season of last year and this year’s.

Even though you’ve lived each day and each day may seem monotonous on the surface, if you take a closer look you’ll see that each day has wrapped in it its own unique adventure and lessons.

Here’s a great exercise for you to do. Begin a daily journal. Get pen and a book and each day write in it. Make sure you put the current date so that later on when you go back to read some of your past recordings you’ll know when certain things occurred.

Doing this exercise makes you more alert and pay more attention to what’s happening in your daily life. It’ll help you realize how many things you actually take for granted and how colourful your life really is.

What can you write in your journal? Life lessons that day. Interesting people you’ve met. Friends who called or came over to your home. Something interesting your children did or said that day. A desire you want manifest. A dream you had the night. What other events may be significant in your day that you can record in your journal?
