Use these 3 action steps today to help you create a positive self-image so your life can begin to flourish with the fresh essence of you.
Action Step #1 - Pay attention to what you’re seeing
As you go about your day pay attention to the way you view yourself. How are you around others? What’s going on in your imagination? What are you feeling? Doing this influences your focus, your feelings, your direction and your actions. Also, pay attention to your thoughts.
By staying in a state of consciousness you can not only understand yourself but you can shift your thoughts and change your behaviour.
Action Step #2 - Change your self-talk
Pay attention to what you’re saying to yourself and about yourself today. What you’re constantly repeating to yourself reprograms your subconscious mind and when you begin to accept what you’re saying it shapes you from the inside.
You could start saying things like, “I release this anxiety when I am with others. I feel relaxed and comfortable with myself. I am beautiful. I am intelligent. I have something of value to share with others.” Think about what you’re feeling at the moment and change it to a positive affirmation.
Action Step #3 - Walk in your new image
What image do you wish to create for yourself? Begin to walk in that image. How? By feeling it inside of you, seeing it as part of you and holding on to it as your own. You see, the reason why you’re finding it difficult to see a positive image of yourself is because you’ve separated yourself from that and accepted and held on the negative self-image.
Now you need to do the reverse; mentally separate yourself from the negative image – this is no longer who I am – and embrace the new positive image.
As with everything in life, change is a process of repetition. But you can do it with determination and persistence.
