3 Ways to Make a Difference in Someone's Life This Christmas

No matter how insignificant you may think your life or your talents are, you can make a difference in someone's life this Christmas. We all have something to offer another even if it is in some small way - we can make a huge difference. It takes a small acorn seed to grow into a large oak tree. You may never know the strength of the impact a word of encouragement may make to change the course of events in a person's life.

If you consciously decide to make a difference one person at a time with small gestures of kindness, it will create a ripple effect that will tremendously impact your own life and fill you with tremendous joy knowing that you are making small ripples in your corner of the globe which can create big waves in the lives of those you touch.

Now that you know that you have something to offer, even in some small way, let's look at 3 ways you can go about making a difference in someone's life.

1) Look at your own personal experiences

What experiences have you gone through that you know other people are going through right now? What did you do to get through these experiences? What would you do differently or what would you change? What lessons have you learned that became valuable nuggets in your life? You can begin to share your experiences and knowledge with other people who are currently going through a dark time in their lives and feel that there's no hope or end to their issue.

2) Become a good listener

Sometimes a person just needs someone to be a good listener as an outlet to unload what's on their minds. They may not necessarily need advice but just someone to listen to them. And as they release all of the negative energy they're feeling they can actually begin to see the solution to their problem more clearly.

As a good listener, you need to listen objectively - give the person the floor to fully express themselves, knowing that they're not being judged by you. You are the source of strength at this moment.

3) Believe in them

Sometimes we need to believe in others even before they believe in themselves, before they may even see the value in their own lives and in their talents. If you see something of value in another, you can encourage them to go forward towards their dreams. You can help them see the value that you see by believing in them and help them to unlock the hidden gems in their lives. It can be the best Christmas gift you give this year wrapped in the heart of love.

And if you'd like to give the gift of self-confidence this season, why not consider the Supercharge Your Self-Confidence Training Program.

The Must Read Christmas Book Of 2011

In this delightful and enlightening INDIE Excellence Awarding Winning (Best Holiday Book and Book Cover Design - Children) new best-selling book, SANTA & THE LITTLE TEDDY BEAR, Peter John Lucking author and illustrator tells a lovely story about Christmas through the eyes of a Little Teddy Bear named Bilbo and Santa.

The book contains 29 lyrics to favorite Christmas Carols, 24 original illustrations, 16 Chapters, every chapter a bedtime story. The book was made in the USA bound the old-fashioned way, Smyth sewn and glued, printed in six color process on heavy semi-glossy stock. Designed to be a Family Heirloom Gift book to be passed on through generations.

SANTA &THE LITTLE TEDDY BEAR has already achieved bestseller rank at Amazon.com in the category of Children's Books/Religion/Inspirational. The book is so much more than a story about Santa, reindeer and a little teddy bear. The book leaves you with a smile on your face and joy in your heart as you read and imagine the Bilbo the Little Teddy Bear grow from all worn, tattered and torn blossoming into a lovely being with a twinkling heart and an enlightened soul.

18 years ago Peter had an idea to write a children's Christmas story, he wrote and illustrated the book, and put it away on the shelf.

In 2008, the Lucking Family gathered in England for a Christmas reunion. Peter’s nephew asked, “What is the true meaning of Christmas and why do we celebrate?” The three Kings (the Lucking brothers), wearing their Christmas paper hats (an English Tradition), began to tell the story through the joyful singing of Christmas Carols, when you read and listen to the lyrics you truly discover the meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate.

The evening was magical. Mum Maria had left a copy of the original Santa and the Little Teddy Bear an 18 year old manuscript on the bedside table; a book that was originally inspired by Peter’s son Michael’s birth. Peter had an epiphany that night and set out to rewrite the story intertwining carols, developing the characters to create a book that is fun, joyful, educational, spiritual, whilst it tells you the true meaning of Christmas.

I'm thrilled to support Peter as he spreads the word and meaning of Christmas through Santa & Bilbo in this epic whirl wind adventure. Peter has written and illustrated this new best-selling 2011 INDIE EXCELLENCE Holiday Book Winner and 2011 INDIE Excellence Book Cover Design-Children-Finalist, entitled: SANTA & THE LITTLE TEDDY BEAR. Peter and his wife Cheri are excited share this lovely book while it gains the recognition it deserves.

Christmas Tunespiration Week - Don`t Save it All for Christmas Day

Giving a little love each day is like seeds sown in the soil of humanity. When the harvest comes in you`ll reap bountifully. Giving love on Christmas Day is good but what about the other 364 days of the year? People still need love every day of the year. We all still need encouragement, a smile, a kind word, someone to say I love you. If each of us took the responsibility to give love even in the smallest measure that love will continue to grow and expand not only in our lives, but in the lives of those around us.

What can you change in your life to create this life of love-giving?

Christmas Tunespiration Week - My Grown Up Christmas List

Amidst all the Christmas shopping and partying, we all share one thing in common and that`s the need for love - love that`s unwavering. And as we give our gifts, meet with family and friends, let`s not forget to give the gift that will never end up in the trash or in a box somewhere collecting dust and long forgotten. Let`s give the gift of Unconditional Love.

When we come from a place of love and see beyond the flaws of our loved ones then we will begin to create the change we desire in the world. Children need to be shown and taught love, not just in the physical expression of gift-giving but through the warm and tender embrace. Not just on Christmas day, but all year round. Then as they grow they will appreciate the gift of love, the energy that penetrates and warms their heart, the energy that`s felt on a subconscious level and influences our lives in so many ways.

As grownups, we need to reconnect to the love within, that`s pure, so we too can love again, trust again, hope again.

What`s on your grown up Christmas list this Christmas?

Christmas Tunespiration Week - Give Love on Christmas Day

A childhood favourite - Give Love on Christmas Day - still rings true today. We set this day aside and this time of the season to refocus on the meaning of love and express this love to those around.

No matter what you`ve acquired in physical accumulation, could never take the place of love. Love must be shared. Love must be given away in order for it to multiply in us. Having love and keeping it to ourselves will cease to expand.

The law of giving and receiving becomes activated when we give love and when we are also open to receive it from others. It`s a two-way street. The cycle must keep flowing.

What way can you give love this Christmas?

Christmas Tunespiration Week - The Christmas Shoes

This is one of my favourite Christmas songs even though it makes me get all teary eyed. The message is very profound.

For all of you who`ve lost someone dear to you. From my heart to yours, I wish you love and healing this Christmas. The best way to fast forward your own healing process is to do something special for someone who`s also hurting. This season, be there for somebody who feels hopeless, who feels the sting of loss, share unconditional love and let the energy of that love spread through the ether of our universe. That`s what Christmas is all about - LOVE - give the gift of Unconditional Love.

The Perfect Christmas Tree - Never Give Up!

I wish for you and your family a very Merry Christmas. I hope that I've been an inspiration to you this past year and I look forward to being a blessing to you and inspire you to change from the inside out in the coming New Year.

Recently my husband and the older children went out to cut down a Christmas tree. They kept searching and searching for the perfect tree, some were either too tall or too short or the branches were too sparsely ordered or scraggly looking. They soon became discouraged and were about to give up when they found the perfect tree shaded beneath some taller pine trees.

This tree now sits fully decorated in our living room bringing joy to our children this season.

It is so too in life that if we allow discouragement to set in, even though we may be so close to our goal, we could miss out the enjoyment reward for all our searching and working towards achieving our goals.

This Christmas, let us enjoy the season but keep our eyes focus on what we've set out to achieve until we have found our 'perfect Christmas tree', the achievement of our goals.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
