4 Tips to Using Your Thoughts to Bring Out the Unique in You

My daughter Lisalee's confidence and unique rendition of the Canada's National Anthem has been opening doors for her to sing at many different events since spring.

Tomorrow she will once again be singing O' Canada at a local luncheon in the presence of our provincial government official British Columbia's Premier Christy Clark, MLA Terry Lake and both Mayors from our local and neighbouring community.

She feels very honoured to have this privilege.

Your thoughts can either bring you down or lift you up. The way you see and believe about yourself and your life will determine the outcome and quality of your days. In order to see your uniqueness and bring out that uniqueness in you, you need to change your thoughts.

Today’s Featured Item, a crocheted hat - brown with light and darker shades of beige mixed with blue and grey, part of the rim tucked with a brown and multi-coloured flower. The brown represents the constant flow of your thoughts. The multi-colours represent the waves and changes in the combination of thought-patterns we choose to nurture. The result can be an exquisite life or chaotic.

Let’s look at 4 tips that can help you use your thoughts to bring out the unique in you.

1. Use the liberty of choice

You can choose what thoughts you want to accept for your life. You have the freedom to do so and you can choose each moment of your day. The quality of your outcome will reflect the quality of your choices. However, in choosing, you need to make choices not solely based on your circumstances but heavily based on the direction you decide to go.

2. Choose quality thoughts

It is not so much how many thoughts you have in a given day but the quality of those thoughts that make the difference in your life. You can have random thoughts running around in your head that do not benefit your life or you can choose to receive and nurture positive strategically directed thoughts that will enhance your life and create a magnetic field around you that pulls in more positive outcomes in your life.

3. Build positive mental images

What kind of mental photos are you capturing? Each mental image has a vibration and the more you focus on that image the stronger the vibration of that image gets. Cancelling out negative images and replacing them with stronger positive images moves you in the direction you truly desire and brings out the uniqueness in you.

4. Let go of fear

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you’re afraid to step out and let your light shine, you’ll always be living someone else’s thoughts of you. Don’t allow your fears to dictate the quality and level of your life. Eradicate your thoughts of fear and focus on letting your truth shine true.
