Empowered from Within - Focus On The Joy Within to Overcome Struggles

On this journey of life we face many different circumstances that can be quite challenging. If we're not careful these situations can sap us of our joy, leave us feeling drained and unmotivated each day. What's the solution? How do we rise up triumphantly over every situation we encounter? Focus on the joy within.

Joy puts an extra pep in our step. It elevates from the energy of frustration and depression which can come with overwhelming issues in life. But if we look within to our inner being there's a place of quiet rest where we can retreat to, feel the negative energy from adversity fall off from our bodies and minds and regain strength to continue on, to face another day.

Joy is powerful. It goes beyond happiness. Happiness is circumstantial; it relies on external things to fuel its survival. But joy goes deep within. Joy abounds even in the midst of adversity. Its energy comes from the Unlimited Supply of the Great Universal Spirit. It simply exists undisturbed by external circumstances.

When you would normally feel sad or hurt over a situation, when you look beyond that incident toward joy within you'll find that the negative grip of your adverse encounter could easily fall off.

And by focusing more on this joy within, your vibration changes - a song comes, a smile shines through your face and even if your condition does not immediately change, you can find the positive out of the negative. You can laugh again. But be careful though, your mind may want to pull you back into the negative energy. You may hear, "Why are you smiling? What's there to smile about? Are you crazy, shouldn't you be crying?"

All these questioning come from the internal programming. But keep focus on the joy within and soon enough the questions will cease, the answers to your situation will come and you'll be free. Remember, your circumstance is temporary - this too will pass.

Action Thursday - 4 Action Steps to Overcome the Habit of Quitting and Develop Persistence

To overcome any habit, a new habit needs to replace the old. And so it is with the habit of quitting. In order for you to overcome it and develop the habit of persistence, you need to practice the new habit until it becomes natural to you.

So here are 4 action steps you can use to empower you from within to overcome the habit of quitting and develop the habit of persistence.

Action Step #1 - Reignite the flame of enthusiasm

Think of the project(s), tasks, courses etc. that you started and then quit because you thought of it as being difficult to complete. Ask yourself if this is something that you'd really love to finish in spite of the challenges. If so, begin to see yourself at the finish line with the project, task or course completed. How does that make you feel? Allow the joy of completion to reignite the flame of your enthusiasm once again.

Action Step #2 - Create a plan for success

You can always 'shift gears' if you need to, but you need to create a plan for success on your project and modify it as you go along. It is better to have a clearly written organized plan of action than to just float around from one part of your project to another. In this way, your mind will be relaxed and organized instead of the stress that comes with being scattered.

Action Step #3 - Create small manageable action steps

Take your plan and break it down into small manageable action steps. Here's the trick: make it big enough so you feel a sense of accomplishment and you're making progress, but small enough so you're not overwhelmed or frustrated. That way you lessen the temptation of giving up.

Action Step #4 - Praise or reward yourself

After you've completed your first small manageable action step, praise yourself or give yourself a reward for a job well done. However you choose to do this is up to you. But the point is to take the time to feel good about what you've accomplished - bask in that feeling for a minute or so. Do the same with each segment you've completed. The energy of praise will give you the boost you need to press forward until you reach your goal.

Bonus question #1 - What happens if you face a difficult situation and you're not sure what to do to fix it, do you still give up?

No. Instead of fuelling the energy of quitting by focusing on it or by becoming frustrated, remove yourself from the project for a minute if you can or just take a few minutes to breathe and release the tension, get quiet, look within and ask for help. Expect the answer to show up as you use the power of concentration to help you.

Bonus question #2 - What happens if you tried but didn't fully complete the small manageable action step?

Beating up on yourself sure isn't going to solve the problem. It's like crying over spilt milk. It's already done. Shake off any guilt and depression and set yourself to try again, and again, and again and did I say, "Again?" if you have to until you succeed. Herein s the habit of persistence until you reach your goal.

Empowered from Within - Take it One Step at a Time to Overcome the Habit of Quitting

Often times when we quit it's because we've become overwhelmed by the difficulty of the task before us and as a result we lose confidence that we could actually complete it, then we lose interest and finally give up altogether.

So let's look at 4 keys to taking it one step at a time to overcome the habit of quitting.

Key #1 - Break it down

Whether your task is to complete a project, finish a course or clean your house, breaking things down into manageable size can help you achieve a whole lot more with less stress and in the least amount of time.

A few years ago, as I was taking my insurance courses, I found myself feeling quite overwhelmed by the one and an half-inch size text books full of insurance terminologies and concepts. I had to quickly find a way to break the information down in manageable portions in order to prepare me for being successful at my exams.

Key #2 - Pace yourself

Instead of trying to do everything or at least a whole lot of stuff all at once, pace yourself.

Each week I took one chapter and paced out my reading as well as the reviewing of that chapter within the 7 day period - working on a portion of the chapter each day. I did the same thing when coming closer to taking the exams - pacing myself out as I reviewed important concepts in each chapter over a few weeks just before the exam.

Before I came up with my system for studying though, I wondered how in world I would ever learn all of the material and even more so how was I going to pass the exam if I felt so overwhelmed. I made a focused determined decision that I would pass my exam and I'd find a way to do so.

Key #3 - Simplify the process

So as you're working towards your goal, look for ways in which you can simplify the process.  Organize your material or project into smaller goals to be completed each day. As you finish each goal, you'll find a strong sense of accomplishment. If you have a deadline for the completion of your project, give yourself enough time to complete it so you can avoid the pressure as much as possible. It feels really good going into an exam room feeling prepared and not having to cram to get that last piece of information into your head a few minutes before the exam begins.

Key #4 - Relax and let your creativity flow

Let go of your frustration so your creative juices can flow, inspire you and make this fun.

As I learned to relax and ask the Spirit for help to get through my studies, I found creative ways to memorizing many of the insurance concepts. I'm a very visual person so seeing these concepts in my head played a major part of helping me remember them. Some parts of my chapters I drew stick people which added the fun side to my studies. We tend to remember things as we identify them with something that's funny or is of interest to us.

Yes, I did have days that I felt like giving up and throwing my book out the window, especially on those beautiful sunny days when I had to study and I really preferred to be outdoors having fun. However, after all was said and done, it was all worth it. The lessons I learned were invaluable and I'd cherish them for a long time.

Empowered from Within - 4 Mindsets to Change Your Perspective to Overcome the Habit of Quitting

Struggling with the habit of quitting comes about as a result of the way we've come to view situations or tasks that appear difficult at first. Anytime you choose to do something new you'll be faced with the initial learning curve and many times we interpret this as being difficult. So in order to avoid going through the initial struggle, quitting becomes an alternative.

Here are 4 mindsets you can use to change your perspective so whenever you feel like 'throwing in the towel', you'll become empowered from within and get an extra boost to keep going.

Mindset #1 - It's part of the learning curve

When you look at seeming difficulty you encounter on whatever task, project or habit you're working on as part of the learning curve, it helps to alleviate the pressure off of your mind so you can continue to move forward toward your goal. It's the anxiety during the learning process that influences the habit of quitting.

Mindset #2 - I'm becoming spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically in sync

The learning process requires all of you to become in sync in order to fully master what you're working on. You must be able to connect on a deeper level inside of you. Your mind must be present and focused on what you're doing. Your emotions' involvement propels you forward as you practice with anticipation of the day you actually perfect your desire. And your body, in relation with your mind, must understand the mechanics of how things work - as in the physical and mental mechanics of learning to ride a bicycle, walking, writing etc.

Mindset #3 - There's always a solution

Every situation has a solution no matter how difficult it may seem at first. If you're faced with blockages, instead of giving up, set your mind to find an alternative solution. The answer will come to you as you open the door for its arrival. Quitting shuts the door and blocks your vision from seeing the answer which may be hiding in plain sight.

Mindset #4 - I am determined to get this right

Instead of focusing on giving up, shift your mind to determination to getting 'this'. You can do it. You can break through the initial 'bumps and bruises' of the learning curve if you have a determined and persistent mindset. You've done this before when you were a child. It's in your nature to be determined. Connect with your inner child and pull up on his or her innate abilities to help break through to success.

Key Tip: Use these 4 mindsets as affirmations to help you through the process of changing the habit of quitting.

Empowered from Within - 4 Solutions to Overcome the Habit of Quitting

Do you give up at the first sign of difficulty? When you make a decision to do something and you stumble upon obstacles, do you lose interest, momentum and finally give up? Do you find yourself going from one thing to another because you find it difficult to understand or too much work involved?

Each time you give up on something you're creating the habit of quitting and if you find that you are quitting  more often than pressing through to the finish line it's time to look for new ways to overcome the habit of quitting so you can develop the habit of persistence.

Use these 4 solutions to become empowered from within so you can overcome the quitting habit when things get tough.

Solution #1 - Change your perspective

When you think of the situation you're facing as being difficult then you'll be sending that exact message to your body. There's always a solution to every problem. And if you have a difficult time with tough stuff this can be quite discouraging.

Change your perspective. Change the way you look at the difficulty. See it as being something new to learn that you've not yet mastered but you can and will. E.g. look at it as part of a learning and growth process like when you first learned to walk. You didn't see it as difficult. You focused only on the fact that you wanted to walk.

Solution #2 - Take it one step at a time

Instead of trying to do everything all at once or master a task all at once, break it up into smaller action steps. A baby first learned to stand up by holding on before walking; then moves on to walk while holding on. Followed by standing without holding on and finally begins to take the first step. Each stage is progressive after each part is mastered to finally master the art of walking.

So if you're finding it difficult to complete anything you've started, look at your overall goal and break it down into smaller manageable tasks you can master in a shorter time. You'll feel empowered once you finish/mastered each level.

Solution #3 - Relax and enjoy the journey

Often times we become frustrated and overwhelmed because we want to get to the end result fast. But the journey has many invaluable lessons to harness if you slow down and take the time to observe them.

Let's use the 'baby learning to walk' example again. If the baby misses the important lesson of balance how will she master walking? You need to mentally and physically understand certain aspects of your tasks in order to master it. Otherwise you'd find yourself more frustrated because you've left out the most foundational lessons before continuing on to the next level.

Solution #4 - Practice to master the habit of persistence

As with anything, to break free from the habit of quitting you must practice the previous solutions in order to reprogram your subconscious programming so you can adapt to the habit of persistence.

As a child, persistence was a natural part of your learning. What happened? Why have you now adapted to the habit of quitting? Many factors come into play why this is so but the fact still remains that in order to achieve anything, persistence is the key.

Action Thursday - Start with Something Small to Become Empowered from Within

So you're working towards getting the results you want but you find it overwhelming or a bit confusing, so what do you do? Start with something small so you can become empowered from within. If this is something you're now learning to do, in order to get the hang of it, you need to begin with something that's not pressing on your mind as much.

Here's a simple exercise you can apply today.

If you find yourself getting frustrated at your work or at home, stop yourself and ask the Spirit for help and guidance. If you're looking for something and can't find it, ask the Spirit to help you and show you where it is.

Think of the different things you encounter during the day time and those issues that seem to get 'under your skin'. Here's the opportunity to turn within and become empowered from within by asking the Spirit for wisdom and direction to deal with the situation peacefully.

Practice looking within first.

I say 'practice' because if you've been accustomed to getting all upset about things first, you'd need to practice reminding yourself to calm down, look within and ask the Spirit for help until this becomes your new habitual mindset.

As you master this, you'll find that you'll begin to see your way much clearer and you'll know how to deal with much more complex issues and break them down each step until you find resolution.

Empowered from Within - 4 Steps to Go from Desire to Action to Results!

For the most part, we know what we would like to do with our lives, what we would change or what we would do differently. But often times that`s where it remains; we`re left with the feeling of regret or even helplessness not knowing which way to go, what steps to take or know that we could actually get the results we desire.

So let`s look at how we can become empowered from within and go from desire to action to results. Let me share my story how I get the results I desire.

I used to become so flustered and frustrated when I couldn`t find something I was looking for. That emotional vibration opened the door for depression. Until one day I got to the point where I stopped and asked the Spirit to help me find whatever I needed.

I allowed my mind to be open as I listened closely within to the direction of the Spirit. Whatever inspired idea came to me I`d follow. I was guided to the place where the item was shortly after, easily and effortlessly,

Each time I got to the point of frustration, I`d feel that inner nudge that I should ask the Spirit for help and in a short space of time, the thing I needed would show up. Since then I`ve learned to transfer this to every area of my life and watch the answers I needed present themselves - some right away, others a few days.

What's the procedure here? Here are 4 steps to follow.

1) Release your frustration, disappointments, doubts and anything that's blocking your vision from seeing the next step you need to take.

2) Ask the Spirit for help and to show you what to do to get the results you desire.

3) Turn your attention inwardly and listen for the inner guidance/inspired idea from the Spirit. Keep your eyes open as you are guided to see through the eyes of the Spirit the direction you should take.

4) Follow the inspired action until you get the results you desire.

If you feel that you've asked but have not gotten a specific answer right away, wait, it will come. Also, ask for clarity if you're still unsure of what you should do.

Empowered from Within - 5 Mindsets to 'Drink' from the Unlimited Supply

The Unlimited Universal Supply provides for the sustenance of all of us - whether its human, animal, plant etc. - there's more than enough for us all to live completely satisfied lives. If this is so then why do we struggle so much? Why then does it seem like there's so much lack and insufficiency?

The answer lies in the way we see things, our perspective. What we fill our 'eyes' with, what we see, what we focus on materializes in our lives. So if we focus on the 'not enoughness' in our lives, our lack, then we move in that direction.

How then do we 'drink' from the unlimited supply that all our needs are met? Here are 5 mindsets to develop.

Mindset #1 - Conscious awareness of the Unlimited Universal Supply

Even though we may already be aware of the Unlimited Universal Supply, many times we tend to neglect this knowledge and shift our focus back to our limitations and insufficiencies. This mindset blocks us from experiencing this unlimited supply being experienced in our lives.

Mindset #2 - Conscious awareness of your oneness with the Unlimited Universal Supply

When we are consciously aware of our oneness with the Unlimited Universal Supply we feel empowered from within. Our focus is not on what we can't do or can't have or on the impossible, but on what we see that's possible for us through the power of the Spirit. This is quite liberating. We see our connectedness to the Supply and flow that constantly moves in and through us.

Mindset #3 - Conscious awareness that all you need has already been provided

Because we know that we are connected to the Universal Supply, everything we need is already available for us and for our usage. Expect that the supply will manifest itself. Know that it will show up at the right time and keep an eye out for its arrival. Steer clear of the debris of doubt so that is does not block the path of your provision.

Mindset #4 - Conscious awareness that you can never exhaust the Universal Supply

You don't have to be concerned about exhausting this supply. It is never ending no matter how many of us drink from its fountain. More will be provided to sustain and meet the demand. The only shortage is in our own minds.

Mindset #5 - Think Big

It's time to revive those dreams you've neglected because you thought they were too grand for you or because you feel that you couldn't ever realize them. Think big and allow the Unlimited Supply to bring the tools, the people, the conditions you need for your dreams fulfillment. Look to the Unlimited Supply instead of consulting with your limitations. See your dream manifest through the eyes of faith. Your dream, no matter how grand you think it is, is still small and as a drop in the bucket when you consider the scope of all things.

Empowered from Within - 5 Keys to Get Back on Track When You Lose Your Way

Are you feeling like you've lost your way, that you need to get back on track but you don't know which way to go? The path you need to take is always there but often times we don't see it because our eyes are covered over with limitations, disbelief and any kind of negativity.

Life with the Spirit is not complicated at all. We usually make things more difficult than it needs to be. So here are 5 simple steps to use to help you get back on track.

Key #1 - Ask the Spirit for help

Though simple, this step is many times forgotten. We go off trying to do things on our own and until we reach a roadblock and face tremendous frustration that's when we remember to ask the Spirit for help, if we ever ask at all. If you ask, you will receive. It is when we neglect this step that we continue to lose our way and get deeper into confusion.

Key #2 - Follow the Spirit guidance

You may not get the entire solution to your problem right away but what you do get is enough to put you in the right direction. Begin with the first step and you'll see your way to take the second, then the third and so on. Follow the Spirit guidance each step of the way until you find your way on the right track.

Key #3 - Relax

In order to hear clearly what the Spirit has to say to you, you need to relax, let go and allow the inspiration to come or unfold naturally and effortlessly. When you find yourself feeling so frustrated and angry about your situation, release this negative energy which blocks out the voice of the Spirit.

Key #4 - Trust the Spirit to guide you

Ask yourself the questions, "Do you trust the Spirit to guide you? Do you really believe that the Spirit has the right answer for you?" Even more so, "Do you believe that you can hear from the Spirit and get the wisdom you need to resolve your situation?" Only you can answer the trust question.

Key #5 - Take empowered actions

When you listen to the Spirit and follow Spirit guidance empowered actions follow because you take strategic and exact steps leading you on the right path for you. Up until now you may have been taking action but still you find yourself confused and lost. It's time to use your time and energy wisely and effectively by taking empowered action steps from the Spirit.

Empowered from Within - You already have what you need inside of you

All we need for our journey here on earth has already been provided. Our faith in that provision unlocks the door for its release. Our supply continues to flow in accordance to our usage and our belief that what we need will manifest itself at the right time.

Little usage produces small flow and just enough. Large usage produces large flow and more than enough. Let’s use a practical example. A baby comes to earth with all the provision needed. If baby decides not to drink the mother’s milk that does not immediately stop the supply. However the flow reduces and finally ceases as the need diminishes. If used, the flow continues to increase to supply the demand.

When you only use a little from the eternal supply you get only what you choose to receive. If you decide to think small, dream small, you get what you ask for. If you decide to dream big, then you’re opening the door for greater things to enter your life.

Focus your attention on what is needed. Ask for your eyes to be opened to see your supply. Just as babies have clues to recognize the milk supply, we also have clues left for us to recognize the location of our supply as well.

What if you get lost along the way or lose your sense of ‘smell’ to know which way to go?

There’s always help when we call and ask the Spirit. As the mother guides the baby to the nipple to suckle, so too the Spirit guides us to ‘suckle’ in order to satisfy our desire and meet every need. Relax and trust the Spirit to guide you.

The Holy Spirit is our Mother, cares for us and ensures that we receive all the nourishment we need for our sustenance, enjoyment and fulfillment of our purpose here on earth. Mother Spirit will guide us as we ask. We will be shown the way we should go and the actions we should take in order for us to realize our dreams.

Are you drinking from the unlimited supply?

It is not a normal procedure for a child to drink only a little milk and remain hungry when the supply is unlimited. A parent becomes very concerned if the child is not drinking enough to satisfaction and looks for ways to encourage the child to eat more.

Our Mother Creator encourages us to keep drinking from the eternal supply and not leave ourselves dissatisfied and hungry when the supply is unlimited.

We limit ourselves in our thinking by asking too small or taking and accepting only a little. If a child is not satisfied with the amount of milk he/she has received, she searches for more and cries out to indicate that she’s not had enough. He does not say, “Oh well, I’ll save some for next time. He drinks to his little heart and stomach’s content.

Often times we accept a false sense of satisfaction where we only get little without demanding of life what we truly desire to have.

When we continue to spend time in silent communication with the Spirit, our faith and confidence in Spirit guidance will continue to grow, just as a mother and child bond grows as they spend time with each other. The child is assured of her mother’s love and provision for her and trusts her mother’s nurturing care.

Trust the Spirit to supply what you need at every step of your journey. Release all debris of fear, worry and doubt. Ask for what you need, expect the manifestation of the supply and rest assured that all is well.

How to Develop the Power of Concentration to Become Empowered from Within - Part 3

Yesterday we covered 3 steps to develop the power of concentration. To recap:

1) Focus
2) Pay attention to details
3) Work through the process

When you use the resources inside of yourself to empower your life you'll find that life unfolds its mysteries to you one step at a time.

Now today, we'll look at 4 more steps.

1) Use the Law of Thinking

The Law of Thinking states that what you think about begins to expand and attract more of the same thoughts. So as you are going through the thinking process of resolution, instead of the act of worrying over your situation, more of those thoughts are drawn out of the ether into the thought mix you’re engaged in to help you manifest your desire.

2) Use your observational skills

Use your observation skills to examine the results you’ve been having in relation to the direction you desire to go. Then, evaluate if the actions you’ve been taking have been leading you down the path to the results you desire. If they are, continue on that path and see if intensifying your actions will get you closer to your goal more rapidly. If not, look at what you’ve been doing with the intention to change your thoughts and actions to get you more effective results.

3) Strengthen the determination mindset

The power of concentration is fuelled by your determination. A determined mindset will push you forward when the going gets tough or when it seems like nothing you’ve tried seems to be working. A determined mindset will keep you on track in spite of walls and setbacks and in the face of ‘seeming’ impossibility. For you will continue to look for ways to ensure your success.

4) Develop Persistence

Persistence is the key to opening the door. Persistence rewards us with the gift of our desired results. As you stay the course, you’re building up inner strength and stability. You’re allowing the giant within to surface. Persistence builds endurance and endurance leads to longevity of Spirit.

How to Develop the Power of Concentration to Become Empowered from Within - Part 2

Yesterday we looked at a simple scientific example of how the power of concentration works. And if we put this example to use towards the desires we want to manifest, it can be quite effective in our lives.

Today we'll look at 3 steps to help you develop the power of concentration to become empowered from within and manifest your desires.

1) Focus

You must remain focused on your goal regardless of the outward circumstances. Taking your eyes off the prize will surely distract you and take you off track. We may encounter many distractions throughout the day but a focused mind will prioritize what’s important.

2) Pay attention to details

Give all of your attention to what’s in front of you. By paying full attention to what you’re currently doing, you’ll be able to tap into your inner creative resources, see new and simplified ways of doing things and make the necessary adjustments in your strategy when needed.

3) Work through the process

With focus and attention working hand in hand, as you work through the process to resolve your personal issues, you’ll begin to unlock doors of wisdom and insight each step of the way. Because as you come to a roadblock, universal wisdom to direct your path unfolds itself.

Now relate these steps to the goal you're working towards right now or the ones you've given up on and see how you can apply them to help you reach your desired results.

Tomorrow we'll look at 4 more steps.

How to Develop the Power of Concentration to Become Empowered from Within - Part 1

Often times we fail to fully attract what we desire because of lack of concentrated focus. When you use the power of concentration, you become empowered from within to manifest your desires.

Let’s use this popular scientific experiment as an example. When you take a magnifying glass and a piece of paper allowing the energy of the sun to directly focus its rays through the lens onto the paper, what happens? Due to the concentrated focus of the heat from the sun, the paper begins to burn. The more you continue to focus the sun’s energy, the more the paper burns.

If you were to keep shifting the magnifying glass each time the sun’s energy begins to intensify, what happens? There will not be enough energy/heat from the sun to burn the paper.

Now, let’s relate this to manifesting your desires. If each time you’re just at the brink of getting results and you keep changing the focused energy, you will not get the desired results. For example, if you keep jumping from one task to another, whether it’s in your business, a course or completing a home project, without focused attention to completing the job your productive results will be minimal.

To become empowered from within means that you focus your mind and body to the task at hand so you can pull up on the hidden resources within you. If you keep changing your mind you'll not reach your initial destination. Before long you'll become exhausted and uninterested in pressing forward to toward your goals.

Think of the goals that you've had in the past, why have you not accomplished them? Did you lose focus? Did you have too many setbacks? What can you do to turn things around for you once again?

Grab a pen a paper and answer these questions and tomorrow we'll look into 3 steps you can take to develop the power of concentration to become empowered from within and manifest your desires.

Action Thursday - 8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 4

Your willingness in anything you do plays a big part in achieving any goal. It's no point wanting to get something if you are unwilling to follow Spirit guidance to get it. It is our willingness that causes us to reap the bounty.

If I asked you for help and you offered to help me and then I'm unwilling to take the help you're giving me especially if that's the thing that I really need to get me to where I want to be, then what can anyone do? Until I'm willing to accept the help, I'd never experience the success that I desire to achieve.

We'll continue on today with Steps 7 and 8. Be sure to check the previous posts, Monday - Wednesday, if you missed Steps 1 - 6.

7) Be willing to change your strategy

There were times that I had to change my strategy to get the results I wanted. When I found that one way seemed to give results at first but then the seat belt was stuck I had to change my strategy and find another easier way to loosen the belts.

If you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you're getting little to no results, or you're getting some results and then you keep getting stuck, there may be a simpler, easier solution to your situation. Don't keep repeating the same thoughts, actions and words over and over again and expect to get different results. Of course you're getting the same results because you have not changed your mindset in the first place.

Change your strategy. Ask for wisdom and then take action on the inspired direction you get.

Bonus Step #8 - Don't despise the help package

I called one of my daughters to help me hold the lever as I pulled apart the bottom support piece on the car seat. I did try to do it myself initially but realized I needed help. Now, I could have rejected the idea of asking for help but wisdom says it's okay to get help when necessary.

Sometimes we want to take on projects all by ourselves and then we become overwhelmed when we're all alone. Pay attention to when help shows up to support you. It's all the Universal Energy coming to your aid to make your load lighter and your journey less bumpy.

Don't despise the help package. The help you need may not come in the way you expected but it will help you achieve the ends results you desire. 8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 3

Being a parent is a joyful time but can also be challenging. However, the lessons we learn if we pay attention to them can be quite valuable. Raising children teaches us so many things about ourselves and causes us to look at life from a different angle. Our children are given to us, not only to guide them in fulfilling their life-purpose, but in helping us develop the skills we need to fulfill our own. Every aspect of child-rearing is a chance to do exactly that.

Let's look at Steps 5 and 6 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat.

5) Have a determined mindset

If you are willing to press forward despite the obstacles, you will get the results you desire in the end. I could have given up when at times no matter what I tried didn't seem to work. But that's when your determined mindset - the mental attitude that says, "I can do this. I will get the results I desire," - sets your mind to only see the positive, to see the finish line, to see success and not failure. With this mindset, you can push pass any disappointments, obstacles or setbacks.

6) Be persistent until you succeed

I kept examining the car seat, looking over the sides, using my observational skills to understand how it was put together and listened to the wisdom of the Spirit. At one time I found myself thinking, if they got the seat belts on there has to be a way for it to come off. Armed with that inner instinct, I knew I'd find a way.

With a determined mindset, you'll take persistent action until you succeed. You don't give up. For every little step you take you move closer towards your goal. If you stop and turn back, you have surely forfeited your right to success. Rest if you must. Take a break if you have to. Clear your mind and regain strength and come back with a fresh perspective but keep moving forward - be persistent until you succeed.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 2

The simplest things around us can teach us the most profound life lessons if we pay attention to them and apply them to other areas of our lives.

Today we'll look at Step 3 and Step 4 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat. If you missed the introduction and Step 1 and 2, check out yesterday's post.

3) Ask for wisdom

I asked the Spirit for wisdom each step of the way. I said, "Holy Spirit, please help me to figure this out. Please show me how to pull this apart." Knowing that I had help gave me the encouragement I needed to pursue my goal.

Often times we take on tasks by ourselves thinking that we are all alone and we have no help. But when you realize that you have the Universal Wisdom within you - you have access to all knowledge - there's nothing that can stop you from achieving your goals. You are not alone. You do not have to rely on limited knowledge when you have access to the Unlimited Supply.

4) Take Action

I took action on what I knew and worked with that. Whatever little knowledge you do have is a seed you can sow into the Soil of the Spirit and when sown will begin to grow and expand. As I asked the Spirit for help, I took small steps toward achieving my goal and those smalls steps were expanded on by the Wisdom of the Spirit.

You see, because I was open to Spirit guidance, my actions were also directed by Spirit hands. I recall using the screwdriver at one point to pry open one of the parts. I had fiddled with it for a bit - pressing the buttons around it but it didn't work - I just felt to push the screwdriver underneath and voila, it came apart so easily.

The Spirit knows the exact path you should go, the exact steps you should take and the exact words you should say. So when you yield into the Divine Wisdom whatever you put your hand to becomes successful.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 1

Our due date for having our new baby is fast approaching and as other times we're getting all baby stuff washed and prepared for the new arrival. This is the first time I'm taking apart the car seat so the material and belts can be washed in the washing machine and the actual seat scrubbed and set to dry. Having no manual to instruct me, I set out on this challenging adventure of dismantling the sophisticatedly manufactured car seat.

I knew the bottom part of the car seat could come apart but I wasn't sure where the button was located so I started with what I could. I began to pull the belts out. I asked the Spirit to give me the wisdom I needed to separate the bottom support piece from the top.

As I closely examined each piece, still feeling quite unsure how to separate them, I continued with open mind. And there it was, the lever I needed to make the separation. At this point I needed an extra pair of hands to hold on to the lever as I pulled the bottom piece off, so I called one of my daughters to help me.

Then, it was on to removing the fabric from the actual seat and finally freeing all the belts. With each step, I continued to rely on the wisdom of the Spirit to guide me until the car seat was completely bare.

Now let's look closely at the steps you can use to help you accomplish anything you set out to do so you can become empowered from within, achieve your goals and change your life.

1) Clarity - get clear on what you want

I knew exactly what I wanted the end results to be - to have a clean car seat for the new baby. I knew that I had to take everything apart even though I had no manual to guide me. Initially I had no idea how I was going to make this happen, but I knew what I wanted and that was good enough.

When you are clear on what you'd like the outcome of your desire to be, it does not matter if you don't know how to produce the actual results or know what action steps to take at first. What you need will be provided each step of the way. Your job is to become clear on what it is you want.

2) Decision - decide what you want

I made a decision that I was going to wash the car seat materials and in order to do that I'd have to take everything apart. I did not allow my lack of knowledge to resolve the situation to stop me from making the initial step. I made a firm decision that I would get the results I wanted.

As you make a firm decision and keep reaffirming that decision each step of the way, the universe will bring all the aid you need to help you achieve your goal. I could have given up and allowed the situation to dictate the outcome of inactivity, but I knew that there was a way and I would find it even if I had to take small steps at first.

Look out tomorrow for Part 2 as we cover Step 3 and Step 4.

Action Thursday - Empowered from Within - Are you reasoning away your answer?

Sometimes we tend to reason away our answer when it comes. We hear it but instead of responding and acting on it, we bring reasoning and logic into play. When we get an instruction from the Spirit, it may not always make sense at first to the conscious mind but it will be right on target when implemented. Go ahead and act on your instructions and you'll see how beneficial the results turn out and how empowered you feel.

Here are 4 tips you can use right now to stop reasoning away your answers.

Tip 1 - Practice being present

When you are alert to what`s happening in the present you are positioned to hear what the Spirit is saying to you. You can hear the wisdom that comes to you. Practice being present. As your attention is drawn to what the Spirit is showing you, release the other distractions, even if it`s something you think that`s important right at that moment so you can fully understand the wisdom the Spirit has to offer. The Spirit knows what`s important or not and if the answer has come to you at that moment then anything else takes second place.

Tip 2 - Act on what you hear

Act on the instructions you get from the Spirit. Don`t set it aside thinking that you`ll get back to it at a more convenient time. The convenient time is right there, right now when the Spirit prompts you to act. Another moment from now will be too late.

My 2 year old daughter is now going through the stage of potty training. Often times I`d feel the inner prompting; it`s time to take her to the bathroom again. Whenever I acted on this prompting, we`d be okay. To delay would give way to an accident. This may seem like a minor incident but it`s a great training ground for other things. When you train you ears to hear the Spirit, and more so act on the inner guidance, you`ll be ready for other more serious incidents and know how to avert them.

Tip 3 - Stop second guessing yourself

Sometimes during the training process I`d feeling the prompting but then if I`m in the middle of something I`d be thinking that I just took her to the bathroom, does she need to go again so soon? As soon as I`d say that for sure, here comes an accident.

Whenever you second guess yourself and start reasoning about the instructed wisdom, you miss out on the help you need in your daily activities. Life becomes harder and the mess difficult to clean up, which could have been avoided in the first place.

Tip 4 - Be willing

It is not always convenient when the Spirit decides to give you wisdom to do something but it is always rewarding when you are willing and act upon the instruction. Your unwillingness to do what the Spirit has prompted you to do can be quite costly which could have kept you from an embarrassing moment, disappointment or a negative encounter.

Empowered from Within - Go Deeper to Go Higher

When we encounter personal life situations, instead of becoming empowered from within, the tendency is to look at them and react, often times, negatively to them. Instead of going deeper within we come up out of our inner sanctuary and stand in frustration, resentment or anger over the situation.

The situation becomes the teaser to pull us out from our place of peace. Situations will always arise, but until we develop the habit of going deeper to go higher, we will always continue to go with the conditioned subconscious programming of going shallow to go lower.

You see when you try to resolve your personal struggles with only your mind it's like you're fishing in shallow waters. Fishing in shallow waters only results in small fish. The mind can only go with what's seen - what's known, what is already formed.

But if you go deep within, you draw from the Unlimited Supply of the Spirit and that's like fishing in deep waters. What kind of fish will you catch? Exactly. In the deep waters you'll find large fish that do not swim in shallow waters. And that's where you'll find the answers to resolve all issues you encounter which will instruct the mind in the direction that it should go.

How do we become empowered from within to go deeper?

1) Look to the Unlimited Supply

We know that the inner sanctuary that's connected to the vast universal supply and wealth of knowledge and wisdom is available to us at all times. When we face a difficult situation, instead of allowing the limited to dictate our thoughts and reactions, look within to the Unlimited realm of the Spirit.

2) Know that the answer is already there

Know that the answer lies within you. Then focus on the fact that you do know what to do even if your mind has not yet consciously caught on, on this fact. Relax in this assurance that you know - you have the answer.

3) Allow the answer to emerge

As if listening to a friend to give you some information or how-to instructions, bring your attention to the place of the inner knowing. Turn your ear inwardly and listen. Turn your eyes inwardly. Pay attention as you wait for the answer to emerge. Clear your mind so that it would not be blocked by the debris of mental confusion and information overload from the outer voices.

4) Ask

"What do I do next?" and be willing to do what you've been instructed to do. Remain in the place of peace and keep sending your attention and focus deeper in spite of what's going on around you. This will take practice to keep your mind focused on what is unseen instead of on your circumstance but keep doing the mental shift into the place of peace.

5) Are you reasoning away your answer?

Sometimes we tend to reason away our answers when it comes.

Action Thursday - A Peak Into My Personal Quiet Time and Become Empowered from Within

The following is an excerpt from my personal morning quiet time. My desire is to manifest some personal goals and I wanted to give you a peak into my personal quiet time and the inspiration I received from the Spirit a few mornings ago.

"If I look at what other people are doing and compare their success with what I want to do, then I limit myself based on the measurement of their progress. But if I looked to the unlimited potential and possibilities of the Spirit and measure what I desire to accomplish through this vast supply, then what I want to do becomes as a drop in the bucket in the vastness of potential and possibilities of the universe.

Therefore, I cannot rely only on what has already been created to decide if I can have my desire. I must look to the wisdom of the Spirit to show me how to create what I want to manifest in form.

I must see it in me.
I must embrace it in me.
I must own it.
I must become one with it.
I must allow the Spirit to unfold the formation of it in my life.
I must stay closely connected with the Spirit and follow Spirit guidance, playing the 'keys' and 'singing the melody' of the Spirit.

In order to do this, the outer voices must be silenced and great attention and focus must be placed on the Spirit's voice that I may hear the 'melody', 'sing along' and 'dance the dance of the Spirit'.

Whatever the Spirit says to do, I will do. The Spirit knows the way and has a grand plan. And as I follow along, the plan will unfold one step at a time. The Spirit's way is not hard. It is with ease and effortless as I release all of my fears and inhibitions. I gain strength, courage and confidence to follow along and do what needs to be done. All I need to complete the task is supplied to me.

I will begin where I am and with what tools I already have and as the Spirit supplies more, I will use what has been provided for me.

My #1 goal is to listen diligently to the Spirit and follow along.

The voices of the outer world seem to give you hope at first but then leave you feeling more confused, unsatisfied, overwhelmed and wanting more. You become more entangled unless the instructions came from the Spirit. The Spirit is compete - shows you which way to go, what to do, how to do it. And when you are done, you feel accomplished, satisfied and free."

I hope what I've shared here will help you in achieving the goals you've set for yourself this year. I have a new program coming out in a few days in which I share more in depth step-by-step strategies to help deepen your spiritual connection so you can remove the blockages in your life and manifest your desires.

Since this is a program geared to better help you, what would be your biggest problem you're facing right now? This and more will be addressed in my upcoming program.
