Are You Making This Common Life-Changing Mistake? Here's What To Do Instead

Life can be filled with so much excitement when you first set out on a new adventure to change your life or a particular area of your life.

As you begin to imagine how great it would feel living your desire, you become filled with enthusiasm as you set out to do what needs to be done to manifest it. However, as time progresses, you hit a roadblock - whether it's not enough money, lack of skills or other resources needed to help you realize your desire.

You find yourself beginning to get frustrated, overwhelmed, begin to doubt yourself and lose enthusiasm.

Why?

Here's the common mistake:

Filling your eyes with what you don't have

You started looking at all the obstacles in your way and each obstacle sends out two messages.
Message #1 - You don't have X, or, you can't do X, or you're not smart enough etc.

This message highlights all of your limitations and what's impossible for you to accomplish.

Message #2 - This is only temporary. There's another way around this.

This message brings hope of the impossible becoming possible only through a shift in your thinking and processing of your situation.

The common mistake here is that most people hear the first message, decide to agree with what they hear, accept this as their reality and never bother looking for another way so they never hear the second message.

Their eyes become filled with what they don't have, what they can't do, what they're lacking in and as these things become the focal point they're unable to see the solution to their obstacle, their roadblock.

What to do instead

Focus on the solution

Whatever roadblock you are facing right now, know that there's a solution, there's always a solution. Just shift your mind to accepting that there's an answer and that answer will come to you, whether in the form of an inspired idea, information, help from someone who's more knowledgeable in that area or the supply that you need.

Focus on the solution and not on the problem and pay attention as the way opens up for you. Instead of becoming preoccupied with why you don't have what you desire, entangled in doubt and frustration, release these things from your mind and remain in a state of knowing and gratitude that you have what you desire, you have the answer to your temporary obstacle or roadblock.

By the way, if you'd like to have a simple step-by-step process, a Life-Changing Map to show you how to  break through roadblocks and get back on the path to achieving your goals, then I'd like to invite you to visit, The Life-Changing Map to get more information to learn how to do this.

Why You Need a Life-Changing Map

Whether you're going on a road trip across the country or have moved to a new town, a road map comes in very handy to save you time, energy and frustration when it comes to finding your way around or getting to your destination. Without a map there's no telling where you'd end up. A trip that should have taken you only 10 minutes ends up taking 45 minutes of your time.

The same thing applies to your life; you start off on your journey to changing your life or achieving some personal goal but something happens, you take a wrong turn somewhere along the way, you get stuck, become frustrated.

What do you do? Which way do you go? How do you get back on track? Someone may come along and give you some directions but then you try to remember what they told you, confusion sets in and once again you're not sure which way to go.

With a map, all you do is pull it out, check to see where you've gone off track, where to begin to get back on the right path to manifesting your desires. Or better yet, what if that same person had acted as your guide and showed you the road you need to take to get back on track. No longer do you have to remain in a state of confusion because once you have a map and/or a guide knowing what to do to attract what you desire becomes easier.

That's why I've created The Life-Changing Map

You see, I've noticed a trend with people who are trying to change their lives. They get some information, a piece of the puzzle but somehow they can't seem to put the pieces together to create a complete picture, then they get stuck again - something like the example I showed above - you get direction from someone but then you try to follow it and somehow you get confused and become stuck again.

So I got to thinking, if you had a life-changing map that could show you where you are, why you're where you are, how to get back on track and get to your destination in a simplified step-by-step manner, would this simplify your life?

AND even better yet... what if you had someone who acted as a guide and actually shows you how to use the life-changing map and how to APPLY it to your personal situation?

This is how The Life-Changing Map came about.

And now you can have access to it to help you on your own personal life-changing road trip.

The system I share with you is what I've used to attract my spiritual mate, jobs in the past, money, health and anything else I desire to have and experience. And now you can have access to it as well.

Now the questions that you need to ask yourself? "Am I tired of going around in circles? Have I had enough of being frustrated and depressed? What would it feel like to finally be able to take control of my life and become empowered to get on the right path to achieve my dreams, my goals?"

The answer is here.

Action Thursday - 8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 4

Your willingness in anything you do plays a big part in achieving any goal. It's no point wanting to get something if you are unwilling to follow Spirit guidance to get it. It is our willingness that causes us to reap the bounty.

If I asked you for help and you offered to help me and then I'm unwilling to take the help you're giving me especially if that's the thing that I really need to get me to where I want to be, then what can anyone do? Until I'm willing to accept the help, I'd never experience the success that I desire to achieve.

We'll continue on today with Steps 7 and 8. Be sure to check the previous posts, Monday - Wednesday, if you missed Steps 1 - 6.

7) Be willing to change your strategy

There were times that I had to change my strategy to get the results I wanted. When I found that one way seemed to give results at first but then the seat belt was stuck I had to change my strategy and find another easier way to loosen the belts.

If you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you're getting little to no results, or you're getting some results and then you keep getting stuck, there may be a simpler, easier solution to your situation. Don't keep repeating the same thoughts, actions and words over and over again and expect to get different results. Of course you're getting the same results because you have not changed your mindset in the first place.

Change your strategy. Ask for wisdom and then take action on the inspired direction you get.

Bonus Step #8 - Don't despise the help package

I called one of my daughters to help me hold the lever as I pulled apart the bottom support piece on the car seat. I did try to do it myself initially but realized I needed help. Now, I could have rejected the idea of asking for help but wisdom says it's okay to get help when necessary.

Sometimes we want to take on projects all by ourselves and then we become overwhelmed when we're all alone. Pay attention to when help shows up to support you. It's all the Universal Energy coming to your aid to make your load lighter and your journey less bumpy.

Don't despise the help package. The help you need may not come in the way you expected but it will help you achieve the ends results you desire. Whether it came from a child, your spouse, a friend or a stranger, the Great Universal Spirit has conspired to aid you on your path. Ask for the wisdom to recognize your helper.

Are you stuck? What situation are you facing right now that you need help with to 'dismantle or reassemble your baby car seat'? You see, it doesn't matter what the circumstance is, whether big or small, God is always ready to help, the wisdom is always available, there is always a way out. Take each step and apply to your own life. Believe that you will come through this as you become empowered from within.

And now I invite you to get Free Instant Access to the first issue of Changing Inside Out Now! Special Edition Newsletter where I go further in depth and expand on more simplified steps so you can get the help you need, become empowered from within and take control of your life.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 3

Being a parent is a joyful time but can also be challenging. However, the lessons we learn if we pay attention to them can be quite valuable. Raising children teaches us so many things about ourselves and causes us to look at life from a different angle. Our children are given to us, not only to guide them in fulfilling their life-purpose, but in helping us develop the skills we need to fulfill our own. Every aspect of child-rearing is a chance to do exactly that.

Let's look at Steps 5 and 6 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat.

5) Have a determined mindset

If you are willing to press forward despite the obstacles, you will get the results you desire in the end. I could have given up when at times no matter what I tried didn't seem to work. But that's when your determined mindset - the mental attitude that says, "I can do this. I will get the results I desire," - sets your mind to only see the positive, to see the finish line, to see success and not failure. With this mindset, you can push pass any disappointments, obstacles or setbacks.

6) Be persistent until you succeed

I kept examining the car seat, looking over the sides, using my observational skills to understand how it was put together and listened to the wisdom of the Spirit. At one time I found myself thinking, if they got the seat belts on there has to be a way for it to come off. Armed with that inner instinct, I knew I'd find a way.

With a determined mindset, you'll take persistent action until you succeed. You don't give up. For every little step you take you move closer towards your goal. If you stop and turn back, you have surely forfeited your right to success. Rest if you must. Take a break if you have to. Clear your mind and regain strength and come back with a fresh perspective but keep moving forward - be persistent until you succeed.

Look out tomorrow - Action Thursday - for Part 4 as we cover Step 7 and Step 8.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 2

The simplest things around us can teach us the most profound life lessons if we pay attention to them and apply them to other areas of our lives.

Today we'll look at Step 3 and Step 4 of Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat. If you missed the introduction and Step 1 and 2, check out yesterday's post.

3) Ask for wisdom

I asked the Spirit for wisdom each step of the way. I said, "Holy Spirit, please help me to figure this out. Please show me how to pull this apart." Knowing that I had help gave me the encouragement I needed to pursue my goal.

Often times we take on tasks by ourselves thinking that we are all alone and we have no help. But when you realize that you have the Universal Wisdom within you - you have access to all knowledge - there's nothing that can stop you from achieving your goals. You are not alone. You do not have to rely on limited knowledge when you have access to the Unlimited Supply.

4) Take Action

I took action on what I knew and worked with that. Whatever little knowledge you do have is a seed you can sow into the Soil of the Spirit and when sown will begin to grow and expand. As I asked the Spirit for help, I took small steps toward achieving my goal and those smalls steps were expanded on by the Wisdom of the Spirit.

You see, because I was open to Spirit guidance, my actions were also directed by Spirit hands. I recall using the screwdriver at one point to pry open one of the parts. I had fiddled with it for a bit - pressing the buttons around it but it didn't work - I just felt to push the screwdriver underneath and voila, it came apart so easily.

The Spirit knows the exact path you should go, the exact steps you should take and the exact words you should say. So when you yield into the Divine Wisdom whatever you put your hand to becomes successful.

Look out tomorrow for Part 3 as we cover Step 5 and Step 6.

8 Empowering Life-changing Steps Learned from Dismantling a Baby Car Seat - Part 1

Our due date for having our new baby is fast approaching and as other times we're getting all baby stuff washed and prepared for the new arrival. This is the first time I'm taking apart the car seat so the material and belts can be washed in the washing machine and the actual seat scrubbed and set to dry. Having no manual to instruct me, I set out on this challenging adventure of dismantling the sophisticatedly manufactured car seat.

I knew the bottom part of the car seat could come apart but I wasn't sure where the button was located so I started with what I could. I began to pull the belts out. I asked the Spirit to give me the wisdom I needed to separate the bottom support piece from the top.

As I closely examined each piece, still feeling quite unsure how to separate them, I continued with open mind. And there it was, the lever I needed to make the separation. At this point I needed an extra pair of hands to hold on to the lever as I pulled the bottom piece off, so I called one of my daughters to help me.

Then, it was on to removing the fabric from the actual seat and finally freeing all the belts. With each step, I continued to rely on the wisdom of the Spirit to guide me until the car seat was completely bare.

Now let's look closely at the steps you can use to help you accomplish anything you set out to do so you can become empowered from within, achieve your goals and change your life.

1) Clarity - get clear on what you want

I knew exactly what I wanted the end results to be - to have a clean car seat for the new baby. I knew that I had to take everything apart even though I had no manual to guide me. Initially I had no idea how I was going to make this happen, but I knew what I wanted and that was good enough.

When you are clear on what you'd like the outcome of your desire to be, it does not matter if you don't know how to produce the actual results or know what action steps to take at first. What you need will be provided each step of the way. Your job is to become clear on what it is you want.

2) Decision - decide what you want

I made a decision that I was going to wash the car seat materials and in order to do that I'd have to take everything apart. I did not allow my lack of knowledge to resolve the situation to stop me from making the initial step. I made a firm decision that I would get the results I wanted.

As you make a firm decision and keep reaffirming that decision each step of the way, the universe will bring all the aid you need to help you achieve your goal. I could have given up and allowed the situation to dictate the outcome of inactivity, but I knew that there was a way and I would find it even if I had to take small steps at first.

Look out tomorrow for Part 2 as we cover Step 3 and Step 4.

7 Life-changing experiences of 2009

What life-changing experiences do you recall in 2009? Did you achieve all your goals? Were your experiences positive ones or did you see the positive in your situation?

Here are 7 of me and my family's life-changing experiences of 2009.

1) A new addition to the family

January - Roxella, our 7th baby was born. We had an amazing home birth which was an exciting time to welcome our new baby girl.

I'm so thankful that this time, out of 7 births, I was not induced. My labour came on naturally - my 2009 miracle experience. This is something I had prayed for and set my mind and intention to go through this all natural in spite of my past track record of being induced. Once you set your heart and mind to achieve your goal, the universe - God, will work everything in order to bring you what you desire.

Roxella came right out into my husband's hands. This experience is one that we would truly cherish as a precious memory.

2) Grew a home vegetable and flower garden

For the first time, our family succeeded in growing a vegetable and flower garden. This experience I've shared with you during the spring, summer and fall months and I've shared the invaluable lessons learned along the way. We've seen life and nature from a different viewpoint and the lessons they taught us are so applicable and transferable to many areas of our lives.

Want to have hands on, step-by-step tutoring to change your life? Try growing a garden and pay attention to these rich life-changing lessons. Your life will never be the same again.

3) Changed my workout and eating habits

My work habits changed tremendously. I've incorporated gardening into my workout routine which gave me amazing results. We also cut out red meat from our diet and are continuing to make more healthy eating decisions. With the harvest from our garden, this made the transition a bit easier for us.

4) Changed my hibernating ways

I've got to admit, I've always hibernated when the winters came in. Unless I had to go outdoors, I'd stay inside. This year I decided that I'm going to change the way I looked at things regarding the winter. I know that I could regulate my body temperature by a simple method of just changing the way I thought about it which makes a big difference in any one's enjoyment of an activity. The way we think really does define the way we experience life.

I kept up my walking even through the snow days and on those snowy days I shovelled the snow as well as jogged. The workout I get from shovelling really gives me an all over body workout. Don't forget to bend your knees so you don't hurt your back.

5) Completed eBooks

My husband, 3 eldest daughters and I completed our eBooks. This life-changing experience has set the stage for many more exciting opportunities for 2010.

6) Did something new

My husband embarked on a new journey of creativity. He built his first picnic bench and gazebo providing us with added shade for the hot summer and a good hang out spot where I could continue my work and the children do their art work and craft. He also built a desk from scratch with seating for 6.

7) Shared Thanksgiving with a friend

Before our friend and neighbour died, he was invited over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. Little did we know it would have been our last time spent together. My husband felt the strong urge to invite him for dinner and today we are so thankful we had the opportunity to open our home to him for the last time.

I'm so thankful and appreciate you my readers and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. You may not have achieved all the things you wanted to in 2009, but today is a new day. And you can begin again right now and allow your tomorrows to be filled with the fruit of your thoughts today.

I look forward to sharing more inspiring thoughts, insights, tips and steps to changing your life from the inside out.

Feel free to add a comment about your 2009 experiences.

Preparing the garden of the heart

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 16

Dad and our children began preparing the ground for our garden. The grass-covered grounds showed evidence of a previously existing garden but no work had been done on it for quite some time.

Today, we were all outside working on the new garden; plowing the ground with forks and uprooting the roots of grass and weeds.

As you survey and assess the ground of your heart to determine what changes you need to make, you may recall a time when you were working away to make changes or to achieve a particular goal. This may bring back memories of how you were at one point in your life.

The memory is evidence of what once existed, just as the overgrown garden on our grounds. But now your experience has also overgrown with grass and weeds; the discouragements and failures of what could have been or what used to be.

You can start afresh with new desires, plans and goals. Begin from where you are, glean lessons learned from your mistakes and get on the journey to changing the garden of your heart and your life inside out.

Changing Inside Out Now! Getting my body back - Day 33

Take responsibility for your actions

You are where you are because of the steps taken or not taken, activity or inactivity. Retrace your steps/your actions and undo what you've done or do the opposite of what you've done.

Everything you do, whether consciously or unconsciously or I can say it another way. Everything you do, whether you're aware of it or not, brings you the results of where you are today. Your decisions or indecision produce results one way or another.

If it is true that one thing leads to another and every action leads to another action or reaction, then you must become a master chess player in your own life and anticipate the next moves as a consequence of your first move.

Making errors is a part of learner and losing is also a part of learning, as well. But, as you master the chess game of life, learning from your errors and being consciously aware of your decisions and the potential outcome, becoming a master at winning will be more at your grasp instead of letting life just happen.

I evaluate where I am in my desire to getting my body back. As I reflect on my journey that has brought me to this point, I see where there are times I've neglected to do what is essential to maintain my body weight; like regular exercises and over indulging in my favourite foods. Yes I, not like, but love chocolate and ice cream. And yes, because I have 7 children, I was either pregnant or breast feeding, and this added to my gaining extra weight.

After my 5th child, I ventured out on losing off the extra body fat and wowed myself by jogging and shedding quite a few pounds; the girls at my workplace were amazed. I had two more children since then. I know what I need to do to achieve my goal. Gaining weight in pregnancy is okay. But when it gets out-of-hand it can be quite uncomfortable and unhealthy.

Evaluate your journey that brought you to where you are now. Take responsibility for your mistakes. You can't control other people's actions, but you sure could evaluate, control and change your own.

Take the necessary steps to consciously create the change you need to change your life inside out, now! It's your move!

Fuelling words: I take responsibility for my actions that brought me to this point. I choose to change my actions to bring me positive results.

Routine: Warm-ups, stretches, aerobics, toning and strength exercises, cool down.

Visualization - keeping focus on my goal; healthy, strong and my ideal body weight and shape.

Deep breathing - relaxes the muscles and sends oxygen to the muscles where exercising alone would not reach.

Changing Inside Out Now! Getting my body back - Day 29

Need a kick in the butt?

Okay, yesterday I got a mouthful from my 10 year old daughter because I missed our workout time. I got caught up doing some work and she kept asking, "Mom, when are we going to do our workout?" I told her later. Later came and I was still busy. Yep, she gave me an earful. Talk about accountability. Yes. We did do our workout. It was quite refreshing.

Need someone who'd give you a kick in the butt, keep you on your toes and get you moving? Either enlist someone who's willing to accept the task or find a way to keep yourself accountable.

Recently, I was listening to a self improvement audio by Jack Canfield, and one of the strategies suggested to use to keep you from self-sabotaging your own goals, is to promise yourself that if you didn't follow through you would do this really terrible thing that you really don't want to do.

Think of something that you'd really despise doing as a penalty on yourself if you failed to follow through on your promise to achieving your goal.

I know I won't be able to miss a workout and I can't fire my daughter. So guess what? I have no other choice and Dad's backing her, too. And no, I don't want to hear another mouthful.

Fuelling words: I keep following through on my goal achievement promise as I'm kept accountable.

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 9

A different take on Easter - Part 2

The Silent Period

After Jesus died and was buried in the tomb, his disciples felt the sting of death. Surely, they were missing him. They remembered his promise of his resurrection and wondered what he truly meant.

They waited for the promise, the silent period, with no external evidence of this promise coming to pass.

During the process of tending your heart, you may not immediately see any external evidence. But you know that as you continue to water the seed (the inner desire) that was sewn in the nutrient-enriched soil of your heart, it will begin to become visible to the external eyes.

Don't be discouraged, today! Keep thinking thoughts of what you desire to achieve and speak words of life to your dream. Your reward is sure to follow.

Much life-changing transformation power was in the tomb where Jesus laid. Just as the seed undergoes its own transformation in the dark silence of the soil. This is the essential stage before the manifestation period. Without it, new life would never spring up.

Consider what's happening inside your heart. Looks like nothing's occurring? Feel the change. The life-changing energy force is at work within you. Wait for it! It's soon to penetrate the surface to your outer world.
