Do you find yourself getting bored of the monotony of your workout routine? If you're like me you may find yourself being bored of your repetitions and workout. But you can change that. It's time to have fun with Spirit guidance.
Often times we get in a rigid schedule, which has its place, but when you find that you're not having fun and you feel like you're dreading your workout, then it's time to try something different, time to have a mindset change.
Here's how.
Turn your attention inward, ask the Spirit for help - to help you enjoy your workout, and be open to Spirit guidance. Go with the flow. Go with what you feel prompted to do. Take it one step at a time. Try not to focus on how long an hour will take to get through your workout. Let your focus remain in the present. You'll be surprised at how fast the time will go by.
You may find that you're inspired to add variation to a particular workout or change it completely. The whole point is to have fun as you're doing this. Each day you can look forward to working out and if you miss a day you'll find that you'll begin to miss it. Actually your body will be calling for it.
As you are enjoying the process, you'll find that you'll rid yourself of the inner resistance which will cause your body to respond better to your workout.
Hi ALicia...It's true that on the days I don't exercise, I miss it. That refers to swimming, of course. Treadmill, forget it. I don't miss that at all. ha! Take care and hope you have a good day today. Susan
