As we continue our Easter celebration, today we honour the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For in it we recognize our own experience of new life and full potential. When we are willing to let go of the past, of the dead things that no longer serve us, we reserve room for new life to spring forth into expressions of abundance, peace, joy, love and freedom.
Live Free
It is your God-given right to live free as the Spirit intended it to be - not bound by circumstances and limitations but free to break out of those things that hold you back, those things that weigh you down. Today is a glorious day; a day of new beginnings, a day to break free of all your shackles and rise to your full potential, victorious over all the obstacles in your life.
But how do you embrace this freedom so you can experience the fullness of life?
Separate yourself from your fears, release them and let them go.
Release limitations from your mind - move from 'I can't, it's difficult' to 'I can, it's easy and effortless'. Jesus overcame every obstacle, difficulty and seeming impossible situations, setting the stage for us to follow his example in our own lives.
You have the power in you
If you say that you don't have the power that Jesus had, I'd say, "Jesus' power came from the Spirit, the same Spirit that we live in, that moves through us and has our being; the same Spirit that gives life to all. So yes, you have the same power because you have the same Spirit. The difference is, are you willing to let go and let God fully occupy your life? Will you let go of all the debris that's keeping you hostage and blocking the free flow of Spirit's energy in your life?
These are the questions we each need to ask ourselves and take a closer look at what's holding us back to life fully. Jesus lived his life according to his purpose. It can be done. Your purpose may not be the same as his, but you have a purpose nevertheless and the Spirit is willing to help you carry out your mission in its fullness here on planet earth and beyond.
Allow the resurrection power to saturate your life through and through today and lift you up from where you are to where you should be. Happy Easter!
