Self-Esteem - 7 Steps to Master Your Self-Talk To Create A Positive Self-Image

Your self-talk influences your emotions and ultimately your actions. Think about it. What you're saying to yourself; is it making you feel good about yourself or your current situation? Is it encouraging you to take position action to better yourself or no action at all because you're afraid of what might happen if you did step out of your comfort zone?

With the next 7 steps you can begin to master your self-talk and create the positive self-image you desire.

Step #1 - Self-analysis

The key to change is in first taking an analysis of you. Be aware of your own thoughts and your inner dialogue. Observe yourself; what situations trigger your negative self-talk? Mark them, make mental note of them and look for ways you can counteract the feelings that come with these situations. How could you shift your thinking? How could you respond differently?

Step #2 - Decide on what you want to change

What do you want to change about how you see yourself? Make a focus determined decision right now that you will change your perspective of yourself. Create a strong 'why' - why is this so important to change and why you want to change? Your 'why' will give you something to hold on to when you face setbacks or challenging times.

Step #3 - Get clarity on your new self-image

It's time to fine-tune your mental image. What are you doing? Who are you being? Add visuals as much as possible. See yourself acting out the person you choose to be - walking with head up, shoulders squared, giving that speech, being confident when speaking with others. Begin to explore this area until you have a clear image of what you want.

Step #4 - Create your affirmation carefully

Create your affirmation around your positive mental image. You may say something like, "I am special. I am beautiful and I have unique qualities that make me shine and express my divinity." Rehearse it until you know it. What you're doing is changing your previous negative self-talk and reprogramming your subconscious mind with a new image and changing the cells in your body to respond to your new image.

Step #5 - Connect emotionally to your affirmation

Feel your affirmation. What would it feel like to be bold, to trust your own decisions, to feel socially comfortable in your own skin? Feel it, own it. Your emotions add fuel to your desire.

Step #6 - Place reminders to help you

Use sticky notes and cards as reminders to help you make that conscious decision each day to remember to repeat and connect with your affirmation and your new self-image.

Step #7 - Gratitude

Be thankful for who you are, for your new positive self-image. Why gratitude? Because when you are thankful you are indicating to the universe that you already have the thing that you are thankful for. You are creating the intangible image of your desire which will be mirrored in your tangible/physical experience.

This exercise immediately shifts your thinking and your perspective from seeing yourself as not having, to seeing yourself as already in possession of a positive self-image.

Getting Out Of Your Head - How To Stop Mind Chatter

Is your mind chatter drowning out the voice of the Spirit within you? You need to get out of your head and turn into your heart. What has your mind chatter produced for you?

If your life isn't going in the direction you'd like to go it's time to take a look at who's in control. Where are these mental voices coming from? They come from the negative voices of the past - teachers, friends, parents and even those of your own self-criticism and limiting beliefs - all sabotaging your forward progress and freedom to live to the fullest.

Turn your attention to the voice of your inner spirit. Shift your feelings to the peace of your inner spirit and soon enough you'll find the inner voices and feelings of peace begin to outshine the voices in your external world.

Practice quieting your mind

Schedule a time each day where you can consciously put this into practice. You want to reprogram your mind and the way you do this is by constant repetition. Your senses can be heightened by listening to the sounds around you and try to recognize even the most subtle sounds. Listen to the sound of your heart beat, your breath and even the noises your stomach makes. Try asking a question like, "How can I see my situation differently? Then listen inside for the answer to return to you.

You may want to keep a journal so you can always refer back to the steps you took and recall your experience.

Release your own thoughts

Let go of your thoughts. Relax your mind. Empty your mind and turn your attention to your inner being and listen and feel. The voice of the Spirit may often sound like your own voice except the difference is that it may be something that you would not have thought of from your mind chatter. You may also experience tremendous peace as you go deeper inside of you. Feel the energy of the Spirit as it radiates from within you and expands into your body.

Remove all doubts

Doubting short-circuits faith. Keep all doubts out that will hinder you from hearing what the Spirit has to offer you. As your doubts come, listen to what they have to say and then simply shift your mind to believing that you could do what your doubt says you cannot. Or shift to believing that you are getting the answer you desire from the Universal Spirit.

Now if you've had enough of feeling like you're nothing, or looking at others being better than you and living the life you only dream of, now is the time to do something about it.

If you're ready to take the next step and let me help you break free and make 2012 the year to Supercharge Your Self-Confidence, then you'd want to check out the training program I've put together to help you.

Each week I go in depth into each of these steps in a very simplified step by step process and show what to do and how to do it. You also get action steps to take every week to help you stay on track and I keep you accountable to achieving your goals.

Tips for Recognizing Your Own Inner Beauty

Do you see the beauty in others and are having a difficult time seeing your own inner beauty? Are you accepting a negative image of yourself?

Your beauty is hidden inside of you beneath all the negativity you've convinced yourself that's who you are. You were born with unique gems - those talents and personality that belong only to you and no one else. Yes, others may have similar talents and personality but not quite like yours. No one is quite like you.

It's time for you to go treasure hunting inside of you and extract those hidden gems, your own inner beauty buried among the rocks of your negative self-image.

Tip #1 - Recognize where your true beauty comes from

You've been crafted from Love that gives life to all. Love and life are inside of you. You come from a rich heritage of life which many people take for granted. As you accept this truth into your life, you can view yourself from a different perspective and allow that inner beauty to be released into your outer experiences.

Connect with the Light of Love inside of you and let it fill and expand inside of your inner being.

Tip #2 - Look at your unique personality traits

As you connect with the Light of the Spirit, this Light enhances your unique personality. How do you make others feel around you? How do you treat others? Do you enjoy making others laugh? Do you enjoy helping people? Continue to grow and enhance your personality traits. There's no need for you to wish you were like someone else. You can develop your personal style of dealing with situations and sharing with others out of the beauty that's already inside of you.

Tip #3 - What are your unique talents?

What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? Look to your own talents and find the beauty in what you have to offer. Have you been given the talent to sing? Then, don't be shy, sing. Let there be a purpose for your voice. What impact would you like to have on others when you sing? Define a purpose for your talent and let the beauty of your inner being shine through your gift.

What other talents do you possess? You could ask your family and friends for help if you're not sure - just make sure that you speak to someone that's supportive of what you're trying to accomplish in your life. You see, there may be things about you that you may not even recognize and even think that it's a big deal and because you're not valuing what you have, you may not see the richness of what you have to offer. So you may need some outside help from someone you could trust.

Self-Esteem Tips - Tips for Recreating Your Personal Image

The personal image you have of yourself influences your self-esteem. You can recreate your personal image by using a few simple tips, shifting your mental processing and perspective of yourself.

Tip #1 - Awaken to and identify the truth of your divine nature

You've been created out of Love - Love that nurtures all of life - animals, trees, galaxies. You are part of this intricate creative design. You are connected to the All that has all wisdom, all knowledge and all power. You are a perfect masterpiece of the Universal Spirit.

Accepting this and shifting your mind to seeing yourself through the Master Designer's eyes immediately elevates your self-esteem. You don't have to be of earthly royal birth or have credentials or earthly status to see yourself as great. You have greatness flowing through your veins. You have greatness interwoven within your cells.

This is the first step to recreating your personal image. Everything else builds on this truth, this foundation. Neglect this and you'll be right back where you started. I'll tell you why, because even when you achieve success in your outer life - credentials, even if you have all the prestige - friends, wealth, if these are removed from your life, you can still stand in confidence because of who you are and your divine worth and not because of what you possess.

These do not define you; they are an extension or expression of your divine nature.

Tip #2 - Build your new image

Who do you wish you could be?

What kind of qualities do you wish to display?

As you ask these questions, they'll give you clear direction in which you can now direct your focus and energy on.

Tip #3 - Change your self-talk

What you're saying to yourself repeatedly is impacting your feelings and in turn molding your self-image into your subconscious programming. So what you want to do now is change your negative self-talk to your new image and let this be your affirmation of truth to transform your mind and recreate your self-image.

Tip #4 - Respect yourself

You do not have to allow others to use you as a doormat in order for them to like you or gain their approval or respect. When you respect yourself you set the boundaries for how you will be treated, what you will tolerate. You don't have to be rude about it, just be confident in your position, and if vocalizing is necessary, you can state your truth peacefully.

Action Thursday - How To Build Self-Esteem When You Feel Uncertain About Your Ability

Building self-esteem is not based on your external credentials and accomplishments even though many of us put so much emphasis on them. Self-esteem has to do with respect for yourself and seeing your own worth. Your value is not determined by your ability to do or not do something. It has more to do with who you are; appreciation of you as a divine being.

Just as we ooh and aah at a baby, majestic mountains and beautiful scenery, we are just as splendid as these - not because they did anything spectacular or have any specific abilities - their existence alone is just enough to command the respect of our attention.

That's what happens when we begin to appreciate our own worth, we're not trying to impress others, we are just who we are - beautiful and majestic by nature. That's the mindset we develop and accept for our ownselves.

Accept your true divinity

So armed with this knowledge, you can begin to see your value through the eyes of the miracle of creation - that you are wonderfully and beautifully made. At first this may seem a bit strange to you to view yourself as being divinely beautiful but this is where you need to nurture your mind each day with this truth until it becomes a part of your internal belief system.

Express your divinity

Out of divine creativity, you've been endowed with special abilities, personality and talents through which you can express your divinity here on planet earth and live a fully enriched and abundant life. It's time that you begin to dig deep within your own self to extract those unique talents and discover your unique personality.

Build and expand on your divine natural talents and unique personality

Once you've discovered your special talents - the things you do really well, the things you enjoy doing - how can you build and expand on these? How can you direct your energy into fully developing them and using them in ways to not only enrich your life but the lives of those around you?

What about your personality? Perhaps you're a very caring nurturing person; how can you direct that energy into serving others? And in providing such a valuable service to others - whether to children or adults - you can, not only provide for yourself financially, but also meet the needs of your inner spirit through the power of giving of your essence to others.

By the way, if you'd like to have a simple step-by-step process, a Life-Changing Map, to show you how to break through roadblocks and build the courage you need to leave your comfort zone and move towards your dream, then this is for you. Check out The Life-Changing Map to get more information to learn how to do this.

Take Stock of Who You Are to Overcome Inferiority Complex

If you've never taken the time to analyze who you are outside of the opinions of others, now's the time to start. Here's where you become acquainted with you, become your best friend and cheerleader and stop the fatal act of self-sabotage.

1) Alone time in self-contemplation

Spending time alone in self-contemplation, exploring who you are is the most important thing you could do to over inferiority complex and build self-esteem. When you know yourself, especially your strengths, you are becoming consciously aware of the hidden gems within you.

2) Be honest with yourself

In this quiet time, it's okay to be honest with yourself. No one else is around to put your down. So go ahead, be open and honest with yourself. Hiding behind a false image will not help you be prepared when others or circumstances throw a curve ball at you. Look at yourself in full view so you can be strengthened in times of negative feedback.

3) Make a list of your strengths

Okay, now that you're being honest, grab a pen and paper and write down all your strengths. Even if you have one or two to start with that's okay. Because as you put thought into this you'll find that you'll begin to uncover areas you never looked at before. Remember thoughts have a way of attracting other thoughts to them. You can always add more later on.

4) Make a list of your weaknesses

Now this list may be even longer than your list of strengths, but here's a trick. After you've listed your weaknesses, take each one and find a positive in it. There's always a flip side to everything. When you've found the positive, focus on it and look for ways to strengthen them even more. The point of this is that your 'perceived' weakness will now begin to become strong enough to overpower the actual weakness.

5) Go beyond the clouds - see the full sun

There's more to you than meets the eye. The giant in you may be hidden beneath the negativity of life. When you look within, accept you and allow greatness to emerge from within. Allow the clouds of negative thinking to dissipate so you may see the fullness of the bright sun hidden within you.

You are not a mishap or here by fluke. You are part of a grand intricate tapestry woven together by the Master Designer. Straighten your back, square your shoulders, lift your head and walk in boldness because you are more than you currently think you are.
