And by the way, if you

- feel like you're doing the balancing act; meeting the needs of your partner, your children, your friends, your job

- feel like you’re losing yourself; feeling lost, drained, frustrated, stressed, unappreciated, unloved, sometimes isolated and having no personal direction or don’t know your life purpose and not enough time for yourself

- feel like you’ve given so much, that you’ve been giving away all of your power leaving you feeling empty inside

I want you to know that you are more than what you've become.

With so much of life’s demands if you’re not careful you can end up feeling resentful of the very things and people that you love.

But it doesn’t have to be this way and you’re not alone. You can start right where you are to take back your power, become empowered from within and take control of your life so you can give out of the overflow of your life-energy and not from your reserve.

Inspiration for Moms - Who Nurtures You?

Feeling overwhelmed, stretched, doing the juggling act? As a mom, you may be wearing many hats in the nurturing process of your children. But who nurtures you? Have you become so caught up in taking care of the family that you feel drained and fatigued?

It's time to slow down and take some time out for you.

It's time for you to clear your mind, reconnect with who you are and be rejuvenated with the life-giving energy of the Spirit. It's time to refuel your love tank. You've been giving and giving and giving some more, now's the time for you to receive, to be saturated with the love and peace of the Spirit.

You may ask, "How do I find time for me with such a busy schedule?"

It's important that you carve out some time for you even if you have to cut back on certain activities to ensure that you have some quiet time to be rejuvenated by the Universal Spirit. You see, you can become so caught up in your children's world that you lose connection with your own. You lose sight of who you are and what you feel inside. You lose the inner connection and as a result you may find yourself beginning to feel lost, feeling like you're just existing but not truly living.

Being able to nurture our children is a gift from God.

It was never meant to overtake your entire life and cause you to lose yourself. However, to effectively carry out the nurturing process so we can give our children the love they deserve and impart to them the wisdom that can direct their footsteps and guide them to take the best path for their lives, as moms, we need to take responsibility for our nurturing as well.

Spend that time connecting to the Source.

We need to spend that time connecting to the Source of All knowledge, wisdom and love - all that we need - and allow the energy of Unconditional Love to fill our bodies with renewed strength, fill our hearts with overflowing love, fill our minds with renewed faith so we can give out of the overflow of our hearts and not out of our reserve. From that place we can continue to truly inspire our children in many ways and on many levels so they can live their lives in freedom.

Make a firm decision now to set aside time for you to connect to God.

Even if it's 15 minutes to begin with, commit to that time and breathe in life-energy and release all tension and stress. You'll find that you can better handle whatever the day brings with joy, and wisdom will come to you to deal with difficult situations as they arise.

How to Nurture Yourself

There may be people in your life who you might have disregarded because they don't act according to the 'norm' - they may have been labelled the misfits and outcasts. But love heals and if you took the time, gave them a chance, and nurtured them, they can see through your eyes that they have worth until they have come to a place in themselves through which they can see their own worth.

What about you? This may not even apply to someone else. Perhaps you see the worth of others but are unable to see the worth in yourself. Change your mind about who you are because you are worthy. The mere fact that you are here, right at this moment, shows that you are worth more than you think. You are a vital part of this great family - the human race. Take the time to nurture yourself, nurture your inner spirit and grow and allow the person you were created to be emerge from within.

4 tips to nurture yourself

1) Love who you are

You may not be at the place that you feel you should be. Take the time to look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I love you." At first it may feel really strange. But keep repeating it over and over every day until your mind stops objecting and agrees with you, "Yes, I love you."

2) Spend time in quietness and stillness

There is power in silence. As you connect to your Source, your inner entanglements become loosened. It may not happen all at once, but it will happen if day by day you nurture your heart in the silence of the Spirit and allow the debris of your life to be moved away bit by bit. You begin to feel different and look different. Your life will never be the same.

3) Open yourself to the warmth of love from the Spirit

Bask in the rays of love and let all your hurt be healed of those issues that have caused you to be bent over in difference and hardened with harshness. Allow the gentleness of the Spirit's embrace soften your heart, break down those walls that you put up to keep the hurt out that are in fact keeping the love out, as well, and melt into true Love.

4) Learn from the Spirit

The Spirit as your Life Source shows you how to live; no longer in bondage but in freedom. Learn how to think, learn how to love again, dream again, and truly enjoy living. In you contain the breath of life and the Light Source. Open your life and don't be afraid, for you will shine and shine brightly as this Light illuminates from within your inner being.

Daily nurturing of yourself produces a transformed life from the inside out.

Nurture the garden of your life - 5 Steps to Nurture the garden of your life

Your life is your garden and therefore you must nurture it to get the best harvest possible so you can enjoy the fruit of life.

So, exactly how do you nurture the garden of your life?

The next 5 steps will show you how.

1) Recognition

When you recognize that you have a need for a garden whether it is to save money or eat healthier your reason for doing so will keep you through the process of creating what you desire.

Similarly, when you recognize why you desire your life to change, whether it is to better your health, grow more spiritually connected or change your financial situation, that reason will keep you persistent until you realize your goal.

2) Decision

Like any garden, you must decide what type of garden you desire to have. Is it a fruit garden, vegetable garden, a flower garden or a combination of all three? Once you've made a decision, you can now decide on what types of seeds you will purchase.

When you make a decision to change your life, you must decide what type of lifestyle you'd like to have - being able to travel anywhere in the world, spend more time with family and friends, deepen your spiritual connection. Once that decision is made you can now make specific plans to facility growing that lifestyle.

3) Preparation and Planting the right seeds

You recognize your reason for desiring a garden. You've made a decision what type of garden you will grow. Now it's time to make a plan of the size and shape of your garden. Once that's completed you begin to plant the right seeds. If you desire cucumbers, you must plant cucumber seeds. If you desire watermelon, you must plant watermelon seeds and if you desire marigold, then... you got it, you must plant marigold seeds.

Therefore, if you decide to change your financial situation, your spiritual life or your family life, you must begin to plant seeds accordingly to grow your harvest. You must begin to look at your financial situation and make plans to increase your finances - whether you decide to seriously begin to save, start a business to increase your income or invest.

What seeds can you plant to enhance your spiritual life? Perhaps more time in meditation and quiet contemplation? What about your family life? More time with your spouse, your children?

Think about ways to transform your situation from where it is now.

4) Nurturing the garden of your life

Every garden requires daily weeding, regular watering and tilling of the soil when necessary. A careful gardener watches over his garden with a keen eye and so should you.

Everyday keep a watchful eye over the garden of your life. Keep your mind free from mental clutter so you can create the changes you need in your life. You will see your life begin to flourish in rich colours and beauty.

5) Harvest time

When you take care of all the previous 4 steps, the 5th step - harvest time, will occur naturally. You don't need to force the garden to bear fruit. It is designed to do this naturally. Your part is to do the other steps and the harvest will take care of itself.

When you regularly nurture your life garden, the harvest time will come as a natural occurrence. But you must begin now to implement the necessary steps in order to facilitate the fruit bearing stage.

I'd like to hear your feedback. What other steps do you think can be added to nurture the garden of your life?

Nurture yourself

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 103

As we transplanted our broccoli in spring some of them became so droopy before we could get them in the ground, we thought they wouldn't make it. Some of the stems were broken and lifeless. Nevertheless, we put them in the ground to see what would happen. We didn't give up on them, we watered and nurtured them and now, they are the first to grow the broccoli head even before the healthier looking ones.

There may be people in your life who you might have disregarded because they don't act according to the norm - they may have been labelled the misfits and outcasts.

How do you nurture yourself?

Love. Love who you are. You may not be at the place that you feel you should be. Take the time to look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I love you." At first it may feel really strange. But keep repeating it over and over every day until your mind stops objecting and agrees with you, "Yes, I love you."

Spend time in quietness and stillness. There is power in silence. As you connect to your Source, your inner entanglements become loosened. It may not happen all at once, just like our broccoli, they did not just stand erect the first day we watered them, but day after day, we consistently cared for them and now they are standing tall and showing signs of bearing fruit. And so will you, if day by day you nurture your heart in the silence of the Spirit and allow the debris of your life to be moved away bit by bit. You begin to feel different and look different. Your life will never be the same.

Open yourself for the warmth of love from the Spirit.

Learn from the Spirit, your Life Source, how to live; no longer in bondage but in freedom. Learn how to think, learn how to love again, dream again, and truly enjoy living. In you contain the breath of life and the Light Source. Open your life and don't be afraid, for you will shine and shine brightly as this Light illuminates from within your inner being.
