Inspiration for Moms - Who Nurtures You?

Feeling overwhelmed, stretched, doing the juggling act? As a mom, you may be wearing many hats in the nurturing process of your children. But who nurtures you? Have you become so caught up in taking care of the family that you feel drained and fatigued?

It's time to slow down and take some time out for you.

It's time for you to clear your mind, reconnect with who you are and be rejuvenated with the life-giving energy of the Spirit. It's time to refuel your love tank. You've been giving and giving and giving some more, now's the time for you to receive, to be saturated with the love and peace of the Spirit.

You may ask, "How do I find time for me with such a busy schedule?"

It's important that you carve out some time for you even if you have to cut back on certain activities to ensure that you have some quiet time to be rejuvenated by the Universal Spirit. You see, you can become so caught up in your children's world that you lose connection with your own. You lose sight of who you are and what you feel inside. You lose the inner connection and as a result you may find yourself beginning to feel lost, feeling like you're just existing but not truly living.

Being able to nurture our children is a gift from God.

It was never meant to overtake your entire life and cause you to lose yourself. However, to effectively carry out the nurturing process so we can give our children the love they deserve and impart to them the wisdom that can direct their footsteps and guide them to take the best path for their lives, as moms, we need to take responsibility for our nurturing as well.

Spend that time connecting to the Source.

We need to spend that time connecting to the Source of All knowledge, wisdom and love - all that we need - and allow the energy of Unconditional Love to fill our bodies with renewed strength, fill our hearts with overflowing love, fill our minds with renewed faith so we can give out of the overflow of our hearts and not out of our reserve. From that place we can continue to truly inspire our children in many ways and on many levels so they can live their lives in freedom.

Make a firm decision now to set aside time for you to connect to God.

Even if it's 15 minutes to begin with, commit to that time and breathe in life-energy and release all tension and stress. You'll find that you can better handle whatever the day brings with joy, and wisdom will come to you to deal with difficult situations as they arise.

Inspiration for Moms - What Moms Know About Communicating Without Words

How do you communicate with someone who cannot yet speak your language? As a mom, you learn to develop the essential skills of communicating without words when nurturing your child. Our children have given us the invaluable opportunity to be able to understand their needs even when they are unable to verbalize them at a young age.

What are some of these skills have we developed in order to establish our relationship with our babies? And how can we use these skills to establish and develop our relationship with the Great Universal Spirit so we can be empowered from within?

Let's look at 5 learned skills and how they can empower us.

1) Spending time with baby

Even though you may have more than one child, each of them has their own unique personality and special way of communication. As a mother, you learn to discern them in each of your children through spending time with that child.

Our time with the Spirit causes us to recognize when the Spirit communicates with us in a way in which we can clearly understand. We develop that unique relationship as we spend that quiet time together. This relationship is strengthened each day as we become more consciously aware of the Spirit's presence and are willing to engage in conversation with the Spirit.

2) Observing - Understanding baby's needs

We use our observational skills to understand our baby's needs. We tend to those needs immediately as required. E.g. through observation you can tell when your baby is choking or is cranky because she needs to sleep. You can immediately act on what you observe to help your child.

Through observation, we can follow the guidance of the Spirit. We gain understanding and insight to know which direction we should go. We also discern when things have changed and can make adjustments as we work with the Spirit to help us come through whatever situation we are facing.

3) Listening closely

As a mom you can tell the difference in a child's cry. One cry says, "I'm tired and need to sleep." Another cry says, "I'm hungry and need to eat." And yet another says, "I don't like this position that I'm in and I'm getting ready to scream if you don't move me now."

Our listening skills also develop as we become more in tuned with the Spirit and we are able to know and understand what the Spirit is saying to us through circumstances, events, nature and even those around us.

4) Paying attention - Knowing what to do

When we are paying attention to our babies, when we are present, we can read their body language, understand what they're trying to do and take action to help them.

As we are paying attention to the signs of the Spirit, we can take the necessary actions to help ourselves reach our goals. Often times the 'road signs' are there to help us along the way but we miss them because we're preoccupied with worry or loaded down with stress that we're unable to see what's being shown to us at the time.

5) Being creative

As a mom, being creative becomes a way of life. You learn to pull up on your creative skills when you have to care for a baby and yet still carry out your other chores. I'm sure you could recall some of the things you've had to do in order to get your other chores done. I know I have to change strategies often and implement new ones as the situation arises.

Your ability to pull up on those creative ideas comes as you ask the Spirit for help in order to reach your goals. Certain ideas may come to you that make you marvel at your own ability to be creative. Your creativity will help you overcome many difficulties as you allow it to flow.

What other skills have you learned over the years as you raised your children? As you go down memory lane, observe your experiences closer and see which of these skills you can apply to the situation you're going through right now. I'm sure you'll be able to find some nuggets that could help you. Some you may never have thought could be used in other areas of your life.

You have the Blue Print to Life

You have the blue print to life and success within you.

As a mom, whether or not you are pregnant now, you are experiencing or have experienced and witnessed the creative process as it unfolded within you- from beginning to the manifestation. You carry a great treasure and hold the key to life within your make up.

For the birthing of a dream from conception to birth, every stage of a baby's development is a measuring line to the growth process of a dream.

God has created your body with such intricate magnificence to physically express the creative process from thought, whether consciously or unconsciously, to action, producing the result of conception and the growing process leading to the final stage of birth.

You are God's magnificent masterpiece and co-creator with him. Your physical body was masterfully put together to express life.

God has given you the blueprint to unconditional love; love that goes beyond fault, the 'in spite of' love, and not the 'because of' love. When you look into the eyes of your little ones you see beyond the snotty nose, dirty diapers and even the cheeky lips.

You have the inner strength to overcome many obstacles and endure many trials. But as you have endured through labour and has pulled up on hidden strength within you to get you through this process, so too, have you pulled up on deep inner strength to pull you through tough times and to sustain you.

You have many lessons hidden within your being and your physical body. Mother, you have touched love and love flows in and through you. Let the soil of Love nurture you as you have nurtured others and enrich yourself.

Today is your special day. Be saturated with the Love of Life, embrace it and let Love be your guide. For out of the soil of Love will you radiate your true graciousness and light. Mother, let your light shine before others. Let the deep waters of your heart connect to the Source today and overflow with refreshing life. Let the radiance of your beauty flow from within. Shine bright, mother and let the warmth of your love embrace the land.

Momspiration: To my dearest mom: you have given me life. You've taught me love that I may express love. Your love is strong and bold. You've molded and shaped me with the strength of your love. Thank you, Mom. I love you. I bless you. I honour you.

Listening in the silence

As you enter the silence, leave behind you the busyness of the day, the troubles and concerns, release it all and just listen.

Life concerns can sometimes overtake us to the point that we enter this place of silence loaded down and dragging our baggage of bills, daily activities, and on-the-job problems. Instead of sitting in the silence listening, the suitcase is opened up, we take out the bills, "See here, I have all of this to pay. I don't know how I'm going to do this." Then we move onto something else, "Tomorrow is the birthday party. I have to invite, Suzy, Beth, Alice." Then we move on to another issue, "When I get to work, I'm not going to talk to Sally Sue, cause she's been so moody lately."

Before you know it, time is gone and you've not listened, you've not communicated with the Divine. Sounds familiar? You fill in the blanks for your life.

When you enter the silent place, drop the baggage outside the door, close the door and just sit and listen. Look within and open your heart and mind to hear.

As you practice this daily, you find that you receive the answers you're seeking, your day falls into place, you become a keen listener to the still small voice. You become more at peace. You tap into and connect with Love that infiltrates your soul, your being and fills you up with joy and peace. You become satisfied in your soul as the stream of life flows in and through you.

Enter the place of silence with the heart of gratitude, being thankful for what you have and for all the good you have now and all that is coming to you.

Momspiration: I sit and wait in silence that the wind of God fan the flames of love in my soul until I am saturated.

Enter the silence of the dawn!

Feeling pulled in every direction; children, schedules, husband, work, school, business, church, other groups? You may ask, "How do I find time for me?" or "How do I find me in all of this?" Feeling overwhelmed? Feeling stretched? Doing the juggling act? You've come to the right place. Find rest.

As a mother, it is true, you carry many hats. But here and now is your time; time to enter into the silence of the dawn, time to fill or refill your inner tank.

Quiet time

Quiet time for mom is essential in order to maintain mental and emotional stability. You've been giving of yourself to your children, your husband, your career, your job, your school, your church and everything else you're involved in. It's in your nature to nurture others, but who nurtures you? When do you stop to take time out for you?

As a mother of 7, things could get pretty noisy around here at times. It is my entering into the silence of the dawn daily that allows me to smile, keep a level head and not fall apart 'at the seams'. This is my protected moment and I cherish it.

Benefits of daily quiet time

Your quiet time scheduled at dawn, the early part of your day, sets the tone for the rest of the day. Here are 7 reasons why this is so vital:

1) Develop clear thinking - as you sit in the silence, releasing of the days problems or activities, you allow your mind to become clear to accept a new perspective on your situation.

2) Inspiration comes - as you are relaxed, inspiration comes, insight comes, and wisdom comes. If you are dealing with an issue with the children, you are now opened to receiving wisdom in dealing with this situation that you never thought possible.

3) Instructions - steps to take in ordering your day comes to you naturally. At this point you're not pulling your hair out but you're able to flow with ease.

4) Refreshed, energized - once you rise from this place of silence you become energized with new vigour to engage in your day's activities.

5) Discover you - here is where you find yourself. Away from all the hustle and bustle, you can go deeper into the heart of you. Become acquainted with you. Not you, the mom or you, the wife, or you the group leader, but you. Your true inner desires, dreams, longings, successes and perhaps even failures. Failures or disappointments are also important because they hold within them key lessons of life that you, in turn, teach to your children.

6) Connect to the Source of your life - your soul, that secret place reserved within you where Divine Intelligence dwells, awaiting your presence and your attention. For there lies the heart of God, the power and sustenance you need to abound in all areas of your life. Your absence denies you the connector you need to activate and fully experience the treasure which lies richly within your inner being.

7) Who nurtures you? If you're relying on external comforts to give you the satisfaction you need, forget it! It's only temporary. But in this quiet place, as you connect to God, as you turn inward and become one with the Creative presence that lies within you, you draw life from the eternal life that dwells in you. Your light becomes illuminated from within, changing and transforming you from the inside, emanating outwardly.

If you've never taken the time for quiet time or the busyness of life has overtaken your time, it's time to return. Reshuffle your schedule and make time to enter the silence of the dawn.
