Inferiority complex comes as a result of the thoughts and ideas you've accepted as your own. Whatever your parents, friends, family or society have said is the accepted belief somewhere along the line you've concluded that that's who you are or who you're not, and as a result of comparing yourself to others you've devalued your own worth. How can you change this?
Understand your own self-worth
You've got to stop and take stock of who you are and of your own value. What do you have to contribute to the positive progression of enriching the lives of others around you? A business may take inventory of their stock, making note of what they have and what they need to add to their in-house supply.
You need to take stock of your own strengths; what do you do that's different from others? You've got your own style of doing things, why should you diminish your value because someone does it another way?
Stop buying into other people's belief of you
People's opinion can change at anytime depending on their moods, what kind of day they're having or based on their past experiences which have nothing to do with you. What's more important is that you look into your own beliefs about who you are. It's not the beliefs of others that change you; it's your own beliefs that shape you from the inside into the person you are right now.
You can choose to accept and believe different things about yourself and stop buying into other people's beliefs of you. You create your own life and now that you know that, what would you create? Who would you be? Who are you becoming or choosing to become?
No need to feel inferiority to others if you're not trying to measure up to their standard of living. The problems come in when you're always trying to fit into other people's idea of who you should be and find that you've fallen short each and every time.
Change the old tapes in your head
Are you constantly hearing the, 'You're not good enough, you'll never amount to anything, you're worthless, you'll always be a low-life', when you're trying to move ahead in life? Sounds familiar? It's time to stop the old tapes in your head and add a new recording. Yes, this will take some working on. After all, you've been listening to these negative sounds for a long time.
But if you set your intention to change and create a new life and self-image it will work for you as you give yourself time to change. Create new affirmations and keep repeating them each day as often as necessary to begin the reprogramming process of your subconscious mind.
Changing your life may seem like an overwhelming frustrating process. But it doesn't have to be if you're given simple doable step-by-step strategies that will get you from where you are to where you want to be and experience a transformed life.
