Affirmations - How to Use the Formula for Success with Affirmations to Manifest your Desires

Knowing about affirmations and how they work is only part of the benefit. You get the full benefit when you put this knowledge into use, not only once but over and over again until they leave their imprint in your life. Remember the formula for success R=IOT, Repetition = Imprint Over Time. When you repeatedly use the elements of affirmations you become stronger in understanding the application of affirmations.

Let's look at each element with the application of the formula for success.

Element #1 - Belief

Repetition of your affirmation affirms your belief. It strengthens it. You begin to feel more empowered from within even if at first you may not have fully believed your affirmation, your mind will begin to accept this belief as true over time. You may say, "I do believe I can have this. I do believe I can achieve my goal. I do believe I am whole." Something inside of you will click.

Because all the while you've been repeating your affirmation you've been nurturing that thought seed and it's been growing inside of you. You can consciously connect with it because it has gone through the germination period within you and has started to grow where you can actually feel your belief-strength growing in you.

Element #2 - Feelings

As you add the feeling element over and over to your affirmation, you are forming the inner connection with your affirmation. You are engaged in the process of owning your affirmation. You are becoming one with your affirmation. The more you can feel your affirmation, the more you can see yourself experiencing your desire and the more fuel and energy you are adding to that dream.

When you feel that energy inside of you, you become more excited about it which propels you forward into more inspired action and draws creative ideas to you. You were given feelings for a reason and are not the sign of weaklings but the strength of the empowered because you feel alive and not numb or disconnect from the desires that come out of the core of your soul.

Element #3 - Visualization

The imagination is the workshop of the mind and as you use it to visualize your desire over and over again your creativity to build your ideal image becomes more vivid. This imaging process communicates with the brain which in turn sends that message over and over to your body.

What's happening in this process? The energy wave is being transmitted to your body over and over again influencing your body cells. All of this becoming a part of the intangible aspect of the manifestation process which eventually crystallizes on the tangible plain.

The way we look at things determines our perspective which in turn influences our experience and then our reality. Repeated visualization changes our perspective, changes the way we look at our situation which will influence our experience and ultimately our manifestation.

Combining all three elements together produces a great energy wave that creates change in your life. Don't forget to follow the inspired ideas as they come to you and take the necessary action on the physical plain. Keep your eyes open for others that may come into your life that hold in their hands the answer to your solution. We are all part of the whole and even if the solution did not come to your mind, it may arrive through someone else. Pay attention.

Look out tomorrow for Action Thursday and get ready to go through the step by step process of creating your own affirmations.

Action Thursday - Does Practice Really Make Perfect or Permanent?

You've heard the saying, "Practice makes perfect." But have you heard it said that, "Practice makes permanent?" If you've been practicing the wrong thing, like wrong thinking, over and over, that will become permanent in your life not perfect. Think about that for a second.

Now think about putting the right thinking in place and let this become your daily practice, what do you think will happen then? Exactly! It will become permanent in your life, your habitual mindstyle and then lifestyle. Even if you made an error, because you know the right way, you can correct the mistake and get back on track.

So, for today's Action Thursday action steps, review the tips given over the week (if you haven't read the other posts, I would encourage you to go through Monday to Thursday's post, get the action steps, meditate on them and put them into practice).

The formula for success is R=IOT, Repetition=Imprint Over Time. Keep that in mind as you put these action steps into action life habits.

Here's a brief overview of this week's tips:

1) Recognition

2) Decision

3) Preparation and Planting the right seeds

4) Nurturing the garden of your life

5) Harvest time

6) Love who you are

7) Spend time in quietness and stillness

8) Open yourself to the warmth of love from the Spirit

9) Learn from the Spirit

10)Reprogram your subconscious and nurture your life

Take action and practice, practice, practice, repeat, repeat, repeat. It's your life and it's worth the effort. Is it not?

Formula for Success – Using the Principle of Repetition to Enhance your Spiritual Growth

All change begins within us and in order to change the outward effects of our lives we must return to the root of where it all began. Our spiritual life, though mostly neglected by many, is the source of our power and life-energy. To neglect this aspect of our lives is to totally cut ourselves off from the Infinite Supply. A branch broken off from the main tree will sooner or later begin to wither away and die.

When we are disconnected from God, our Source, we display signs of lack and neglect in many areas of our lives, some more than others. We may be connected in some areas but experience blockage in others.

So, how does the principle of repetition enhance our spiritual growth?

Using the formula R=IOT, Repetition = Imprint Over Time, gives us an idea of how often we should be consciously connecting with God, our Universal Supply, drawing from the abundance of the Spirit to satisfy every area of our lives.

By daily spending quiet time in contemplation, prayer and meditation, we open ourselves for the energy of the Spirit to flow into and through our lives. As this habit continues, it becomes imprinted in us, over time, forming a clearly defined spiritual path to a successful life.

In this time of connecting to the Source, allow the life-energy to flow into all areas of your life. Visualize this energy flowing into your relationships, finances, business, travels, vacations and into all that concerns you and enhancing each area with the abundance of love, joy, peace, health and wealth.

Inconsistent connection will not give a clearly defined imprint, as well as the consistent flow of the Spirit, and therefore will not create long-lasting and permanent change to bring success. But daily repetition strengthens one's inner connection bringing vitality and zest for life which will be evident to those around you and give them a sure path to follow.

How has the principle of repetition helped you in your spiritual growth? Feel free to leave a comment below.

Formula for Success – Understanding the Principle of Repetition

Some time ago, as I was taking my daily walk in my backyard, I noticed that as the snow melted and the grass began to dry a faint path began to form. Not wanting to create a permanent path in the lawn, I had to change my route and keeping it inconsistent.

Out of this experience came the formula R=IOT, Repetition = Imprint Over Time. Any success or lack of success in any area of our lives come as a result of the process of repetition – repeating the same thoughts over and over and over followed by the action or inaction which begins to become more and more defined and embedded within the subconscious thus bringing about our current results.

Let’s look at how it works taking the path of the lawn as an example or even the path of how a trail is formed. It starts off faint at first but over time becomes a clearly defined path. If a person inconsistently takes that path, no defined path is made. You may see some evidence that someone had walked that way but no defined path had formed.

If the person consistently takes the path on a weekly basis, it will take a long time to become defined but eventually it will due to consistency. However, if the same person on a daily basis walks the path the imprint is quickly defined over time.

An imprinted path shows evidence of a consistent activity – whether good or bad. If you’ve ever noticed a path that has been formed, nothing grows on the area where cars or people consistently drive or walk on. In order to encourage growth again, all travelling activity would have to be abandoned and another path taken.

To change the end results in your life, you must change the path. Consistent repetition leaves imprint over time that disallows other things to grow leaving a clearly defined path for others to follow – whether that path or example is dangerous and unproductive or not.

Repetition for subconscious change

As we consistently create the image we desire, it begins to form and become clearly defined and later on imprinted in such a way that nothing else can grow on that area because it has been well defined by the footprints of one’s desire. This inward practice becomes manifested evidence in one’s life of the daily consistent repetition of one’s internal belief system and self-talks.

Each day this week we’ll take a closer look at how this formula for success can be applied to other areas of our lives to bring about the results we’re expecting.
