How to Forgive Yourself of Past Mistakes and Live a Fulfilled Life
Many times when we refer to forgiveness we think in terms of forgiving others for the wrong they've done. What about ourselves? At times we may be harder on ourselves and even deny forgiveness from the one who needs it the most - You!
Why would I need to forgive myself?
We often overlook the things we say to ourselves which impact our lives in a very negative way. Remember those words, "I'm so stupid," or "I'm so dumb," or "If only I were prettier." The assaults that we unleash on our own self-esteem express themselves through many symptoms in our bodies.
Forgiveness of oneself begins when we release ourselves from our past mistakes. When we say, "Know what? That's in the past, I forgive you and it's time to move on. It's time to put the past behind me, let it go and create for myself a beautiful future by the thoughts I choose to think of today. I look at myself through the eyes of beauty and not through the fogged mirror of past failures, disappointments and hurts."
Decide right now to treat yourself as your best friend - with respect and honour. For as you think kindly and highly for you, you will begin to think kindly and highly of others as well. As you forgive yourself, you'll find it easier to forgive others and your life will become enriched as you release the negative debris which hinders the free flow of goodness from flowing through your life.

Forgive
Need to forgive someone today? The past holding you back from moving on? Forgive! Let it go and be free to fly.
The thing he said, the thing you did, have long since passed away;
For yesterday was but a trial; today you will succeed,
And from mistakes of yesterday will come some noble deed.
Forgive yourself for thoughtlessness, do not condemn the past;
For it is gone with its mistakes; their mem'ry cannot last;
Forget the failures and misdeed, from such experience rise,
Why would you let your head be bowed?
Lift up your heart and eyes!"
Let us not look back in anger nor forward in fear but around us in awareness. - Leland Val Van De Wall
