Final Part of Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 20

Pray All The Time

When you learn to pray all the time you'll find that your energy remains at a higher level each and every day. Prayer does not change God. It changes you and positions you in the life-energy flow of the Great Universal Spirit and all the good that you desire.

The key is to pray your desire - focusing on what you do want instead of putting your attention on what you don't want. Most people don't get the results they desire when they pray because they're focusing on the wrong thing which produces an energy field of negative energy that is not in alignment, on the same wave length, as their desire. So when they keep getting results they don't want they become angry with God, claiming that God does not hear their prayer but listens to others. This is a false perspective on God and on how prayer really works.

When you pray, your attention must be on what you desire. Prayer is simply expressing your thoughts, your desires. So how do you pray all the time?

#1 - Become clear on what you want and then ask

Have a clear mental image of what you want to manifest in your life and then ask for what it is you want. You cannot be seeing or focusing on all the things that are going wrong in your life and expect the thing you desire to manifest to come into your life. It just doesn't work that way. Your attention must be on what it is you truly desire - that's the energy that you're transmitting into the universal energy field that will pull together all the resources you need to help you get what you want.

#2 - Live in the energy-field of gratitude

When you are living in the energy-field of gratitude, being thankful for what you already have as well as being thankful that what you desire is all coming together, you bring your energy level to a higher level. So instead of feeling frustrated and depressed with life, you begin to feel joyful. In this energy state, you are open to inspired ideas to help you create the results you desire in your life.

#3 - Remain in a state of conscious inner connection

We often live our lives with our attention focused on the outward experiences in life. Practice turning inward giving your attention to your inner sanctuary - your place of peace. When you do that you immediately release your stress and all negative energy you feel on your mind and body. The more you keep that conscious inner connection as you go throughout the day, the more you are open to the flow of positive life-energy and creativity and the less stress you feel from your outward experiences.

Delete Lies In Your System – 3 Major Lies and The Truth Uncovered

Many of the ailments that we experience in life can be traced back to the lies we have in our system – those things we have accepted as truth for our lives based on our perception of the world around us and our environmental programming.

These lies keep us from seeing what’s real and from taking the next step to living a fully enriched life. Look at the results you’re having in any area of your life and if you’re not satisfied with what you’re experiencing ask the question, “What’s the truth about this situation? Or what lies have I accepted as truth that’s keeping me from breaking free?”

By asking this question you immediately shift into being open to truth and here begins the journey of your truth-discovery.

Let’s look at 3 major lies you can begin to delete from your internal system.

Lie #1 – You are separate from God

If you think of God as being a deity somewhere out there in the great blue sky you’ve created that psychological separation between you and God. And therefore the power that belongs to God is also separate from you. So you have the tendency to expect someone up in the great somewhere to be giving you something when you have all the power that is God in you and with you – the image and likeness of God.

When you consciously bring God home – see yourself as one with God, the essence and life of God moving in and through you, the God-force being expressed in and through you, then you are open to power, change and transformation. You begin to live in and work in harmony with the Great Universal Spirit. You are part of the All.

Lie #2 – You are separate from others

Separation divides and isolates us leaving us vulnerable to all that is not pure. We are all connected on a very intangible level. And in many ways we communicate on this level as well as affect the lives of others around us.

You have the power to transform others and elevate them to a higher level through the power of love. Love is the strongest bond between us and when you choose to give love, share love, express love you are strengthening that bond between us. Not only does our bond of love heals us and unites us but it also influences and affects all life around us – plants and animals. We were created and nurtured out of love and therefore love is the bond that keeps us whole.

Lie #3 – You’re not good enough, others are better than you

When you’re feeling that you’re not good enough and feeling that others are better than you what happens here? You begin to feel that you can’t do what you set out to do in the first place. You feel like shrinking away and hide. Change that mindset.

Yes, others’ gifts may be better than yours in terms of experience – for example, if you have the talent to sing you may find that others are better than you vocally perhaps because they’ve been doing this for a long time and have more experience. But if you continue nurture and develop your gift you’ll find that you’ll bring out the best that you have to offer.

You are good enough in your own right. You are! Not what you do, but YOU. Once you stop judging yourself based on the level of physical development you’ll immediately feel uplifted and in your rightful place. Then you continue to work to enhance your other gifts. You are first the gift to humanity, to earth and your talents are physical expressions through which you express the gift of you.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 18

5 Tips to Help You Learn to Really Love People

Learning to love people takes a major shift in our perspective of others. If you have a difficult time trusting others then this will take some practice as with any new change. If your current perspective is that people are bad then learning to open your heart to release love in and let love out may seem difficult initially. But that can change using the next few tips I’m going to share with you.

Remember, this will take commitment and persistence on your part to master. You’ve been thinking one way all along and if you want to shift into a new way of living, a higher way of living, you will need to give yourself time to create the new habit. By having the tools I’m about to share with you, you can easily make the shift and bounce back.

Okay, here goes.

Tip #1 - See others as inherently divine

We’ve all been created out of love and from love. Love is our true nature. Ever looked at babies? It’s all about love. But as we grow we learn the ways of others. We’re reprogrammed each day by our environment and without following our inner guidance we become more disconnected and unconscious of our true inner heritage. We’ve forgotten who we are. Make it a conscious decision to be reminded of this truth, not only of yourself but also of others as well.

Tip #2 - See yourself as one with everyone

On a physical level we have the appearance of being separate and yet in that apparent separateness we are all connected on an intangible level. We have an intangible inner communication system that connects us all and sends a rippling effect on the matrix of life. Because there are different levels or frequencies of energy, you can choose to live on a higher level. You can choose thoughts and actions that are on a higher level - that produces healing to others around you. Again, it will take practice to see yourself being a part of everyone else and then choosing higher level thoughts of love to bring others to a higher plane.

Tip #3 - Send love to others, even your enemies

It’s so easy to love the people who love us. It takes a lot more conscious effort to break out of our habitual way of despising those who dislike us or who are being unkind to us. You’ve often heard it said to love your enemies. But how exactly do you do that when you just want to wring their necks? Go within. Shift from your mind to the inner sanctuary that’s already inside of you.

When you do this you will immediately feel a shift in your emotions. When you look into the ‘eyes’ of love inside of you and fix your ‘gaze’ into pure love, the anger and resentment you feel will begin to melt away. But you need to stay there. The moment you take your eyes off you’ll fall right back into the old mental habit. Keep your gaze on love until you are free to say, “I love you. I bless you. I wish you well.”

Tip #4 - Nurture the Presence of Unconditional Love

Remember that ‘gaze into the eyes of love’ we just talked about? Here’s where you continue to nurture that feeling of love in your heart. Allow it to expand inside of you; healing you, transforming you in its powerful presence. Bask in the Presence of Unconditional Love and allow the power of the Great Universal Spirit to wash you clean of all the negative energies that cloud over the sun of your soul. Do this often and allow the warmth of love to embrace you from within.

Tip #5 - Walk in Love

Be conscious of ‘walking in love, with love’. You become the conduit through which divine love can be expressed to others around you. But the work must begin within you. If you are to love others you must BECOME love in order to give love. Let the Spirit of love be your guide, be your life and loving others will become a natural and higher way of living.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management - Part 17

Successful Living – 4 Tips to Practice Appreciation Instead of Criticism, Ridicule, Scolding and Fault- finding

Make appreciation become your lifestyle. When you’re always criticizing, ridiculing, scolding or fault-finding you’re surrounding yourself with negative energy which drains your life energy and leave you feeling like you’re under a dark cloud, whether you’re aware of it or not. Stop and think for a minute. Let’s go down memory here, the last time you criticized someone how did it feel? Or if you were ridiculing someone how did that feel? Was it uplifting, full of joy, peace and full of life-giving energy or just the opposite?

You see, positive energy gives and increases your life force. Negative energy drains your life force. The more you’re engaged in this negative field of energy – criticism, ridicule, scolding and fault finding, the less energy you have, the more stressed, frustrated and depressed you feel and the more disconnected you become to the Source of all Life.

So let’s look at some practical steps you can use right away to practice appreciation to enrich your life.

Practice Appreciation Tip #1 – Look for and appreciate the good in others

If you’re looking for a fault in another you’ll always find what you’re looking for. So instead of focusing on fault finding shift your focus on looking for the good in them. We all have them. Some may be a bit more difficult to find because, like you, they have gone through some pretty rough times that have caused them to become pessimistic about life. Be patient with yourself and with them as well.

Practice Appreciation Tip #2 – Know that a greater force is at work

In spite of all the negative things and people that are around know that there’s a greater force at work here. The Great Universal Spirit is not asleep nor is God sitting biting his nails wondering what’s going to happen because of all the bad things people are doing. Everything is working out in divine order and the Spirit has a plan that’s bigger than any of us. Rest your mind in that assurance and be thankful that all is working out according to the divine plan and focus on the part that you need to play not only physically but also in your own personal growth.

Practice Appreciation Tip #3 – Be thankful for the people that are in your life right now

None of us were given an exact amount of days, months or years we are to be here on planet earth. Appreciate the people that are in your life right now. Children grow up and move away, some of them you may not see for years. Spouses separate. Friends stay for a while but sometimes go separate ways. All we have to enjoy the company of our loved ones is here and now. Use the time to appreciate them while they are still here for however long that may be.

Practice Appreciation Tip #4 – Be thankful for the wisdom that you possess

When you see someone doing something that you think is foolish, look to your wisdom and be thankful for it. Say a little prayer of appreciation for them that may go something like this, “Father thank you for teaching this person your truth and your wisdom. Open their eyes that they will see that there’s a better way. Thank you for bringing them into a place of understanding and wisdom.” If you have the opportunity to respectfully correct them, share your wisdom in an uplifting manner and help make a difference on their journey, one that they will remember for a long time.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 16

Be good to all and practice kindness

Practicing kindness is a habit that can be cultivated. Remember the golden rule, “Do to others as you’d like them to do to you.” Whatever seed you sow, whether good or bad, that you will also reap. Selective sowing of good seeds as far as how the universal laws go does not work. In other words, if you choose to do 'good' only to your friends and the people that like you 'good' will come back to you. But if you choose to be mean to the people who are mean to you then reaping a harvest of good is unlikely.

For example, you can sow cucumber seeds and harvest cucumber fruit but you cannot sow grass seeds in your garden and expect to harvest strawberries. It just doesn’t work that way. Being good to all and practicing kindness will ensure that you reap a harvest of continuous good in your life.

You might say, “Well, I’ve been good to some people and then they turned around and treated me so meanly, why should I have to treat them any different than how they treated me?” I would say to you, “Wish them good in thought and in action. Forgive and free yourself from the entanglement of negativity and let the Spirit of the Universe handle them. Keep your mind and heart free and nurture the seed of love inside of you.”

You see, people’s behaviours are not always in response to you directly. Those responses come from past hurtful experiences – things which occurred in their lives that affected them deeply at a time of their own vulnerability. They need to be shown genuine love and that’s not a one-time thing but a continuous flow of love before they can believe that they are worth it or that true love really exists.

You see if a person has been exposed to abuse from a young age that’s all they’re consciously aware of. The love they were initially born with became buried underneath all the hostility they endured from trusted sources – parents, relatives etc. Encountering true love for this individual takes time and is often met with suspicion.

You never know whose life you can change and transform by your goodness and your kindness. You may be the only light in that person’s dark world whether it’s for a brief moment or for a length of time.

Here’s a strategy to help you when dealing with a difficult person – see yourself as being the light in their life. See yourself as a gift to that person, as a God-sent at a time of their greatest need. Follow Spirit guidance to understand how you can best serve and bring healing to them. You do not necessarily have to lecture them but you can give a word of encouragement, believe in them until they believe in themselves, a smile goes a long way and often times silence – just being a listening ear – can break down walls and invite healing.

By being good to all and practicing kindness you not only heal the people that come into contact with you but you also keep the flow of life-energy moving freely through your life.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 15

5 Tips To Always Take Time For Simple Pleasures

Taking time for simple pleasures not an option for you? Think again. With all of your daily responsibilities, taking time out of your busy schedule to enjoy simple pleasures is essential for your personal growth and a healthy lifestyle. If you’re always on the go it’s time to learn how to slow down, clear off the non-essential things from your schedule and take the time to “smell the roses” with these 5 tips.

1) Conscious simple pleasures incorporation

You need to make a conscious decision that you will take the time for simple pleasures and incorporate that into your daily schedule. When you plan your day how often do you put simple pleasures as part of your schedule? That’s not something that we consciously do. But when you make a firm decision about this you’ll find that it becomes easier to remember. At first you do this consciously and keep reminding yourself until it becomes a habit.

2) Remove the non-essential activities

Evaluate your activities. Which ones are just draining energy from you and are not replenishing your energy supply or adding to your personal growth? Get rid of them so you can incorporate activities that may be simple but add a lot of value to your life, like the powerful healing combo of rest and relaxation.

3) Be present often

Many times we become preoccupied with life – what’s not working, what needs to be done - that we miss the miracle of the present moment. If your attention is drawn elsewhere how could you see the blessing in the present moment? Practice paying attention to what’s in front of you more often and you’ll find that you begin to catch those simple yet powerful pleasures in the moment.

4) See beyond the common

Miracles hide in the very common but you only see them when you’re paying attention and you’re looking beyond the common, beyond the ordinary. For example, on a common overcast day you may see the clouds part just for a few seconds revealing the blue sky and the rays of sun coming through. Then the clouds come together again.

Seeing beyond the common would be to see the sun ray as a sign of hope for you and confirmation from the Spirit that all is well or that all is working out on your behalf. Many times this has been a source of comfort for me during my times of struggle or uncertainty.

5) Make simple pleasures a big thing

Sunbathing after a long winter could be turned into a big thing. Think of it as a time of connecting to the healing energies of love and life. See your body becoming rejuvenated with renewed power; a time to connect with the Great Universal Spirit and consciously sharing in this divine heritage.

What about a simple flower? Observe with keen eyes the activities of the bees as they go from flower to flower. Go beyond that and observe the cooperation and timing of nature as everything works in harmony to bring about fruit for eating. What lessons are you learning are you observe? It’s all about taking the time to marvel at life and embrace simple pleasures.

Can you think of other ways to enjoy simple pleasures?

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 14

Plan on how to spend your money. Uncontrolled and impulsive spending is the root cause of all financial worries

Have you ever seen something that you wanted to purchase, didn’t plan on spending that extra money and when you did found yourself financially set back because of it? I know I have. You go out to spend $20.00, see something really cool and end up spending $40.00 instead.

Whenever you engage in uncontrolled and impulsive spending it can affect your financial bottom line leaving you feeling stressed out because of it. By planning on how you spend your money each month you can help yourself overcome your uncontrolled and impulsive spending habits.

How?

Have a monthly budget

If you have a monthly budget you’d have a clear picture of what’s coming in, what’s going out and what’s left over. With that information you’d see where you stand financially so you don’t go into money that you need to pay your bills or use the money that you set aside for savings.

Become conscious of where your money is going

You’re aware of how much you’re spending for mortgage or rent, phone, internet etc. but what about things like your grocery bill or the little coffee or snack that you pick up each day? Knowing where your money is going each day will give you a better idea of how you’re spending it so you make better choices and conscious decisions about spending your money.

Put aside money for extra spending

When you review your budget on a monthly basis, set aside extra money for spending after you’ve put some aside for savings. If you allot say $100.00 extra for spending then you know that after the $100.00 is gone that’s it, no more. It does take a certain amount of self-discipline if you’re used to just blowing everything right away but it can be done with some persistence.

Ask, “Do I really need this?”

Another thing you could do is stop yourself right in your track and ask yourself if you really need the item you want to buy? Is it something that’s going to be put on the shelf unopened or is it going to be used right away? Watch out for the emotional pull at the time you see the item – you know, the ones that pull at you when you see a purse, or shoes, or necklace etc. and when you go home you wonder why you bought the thing in the first place when you have about twenty more or them at home that you never even use.

Don’t use your credit card unless…

Do you have the money to cover the purchase? Making your purchase on a credit card when you know you don’t have the money to pay it off when the bill comes only sets you up for more financial stress. Yes, there are situations that are unavoidable and you may need to use the credit card to take care of it right away. But that’s dealing with emergencies not impulsive purchases.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 13

Why You Should Never Propose or Promise Anything You Are Not Sure To Do

Are you taking on projects or tasks that you know you’re not sure to do? Before you propose or promise to do anything for someone make sure you already know how to do it. Otherwise not fulfilling your promise will leave you feeling frustrated and stressed and cause the other person to not trust you. Word gets out and spreads like wild fire ruining your reputation in the process.

It may seem as a noble gesture in the beginning but one that could backfire right in your face.

You could use this time to become knowledgeable in this area of expertise so the next time a project like this comes up you are in a position to truthfully accept the assignment and complete it in a short space of time as opposed to the length of time it will take for you to first learn how to and then actually do it. Plus, it will save you money that may be wasted on damaged material because you didn’t know what to do in the first place.

If you want to take on a project that you’re not sure how to do as a favour to a friend, then be open and upfront and let him/her know that you don’t know how to do it but you are willing to find the information and learn. Make sure the person knows what they’re getting into from the get go so if you’re unable to complete the project they’d know that at least you tried to help them out as you’re using this as a learning experience.

Learning a new task from someone who already knows can save you a lot of time, shortening the learning curve and stress from many trials and errors.

7 Powerful Reasons Why You Should Talk Less and Listen More

Is your talkativeness getting in the way of your learning and personal growth? When you talk less and listen more you’re making room for advancing your success and developing your personal charm.

When you find yourself being overly talkative use these 7 powerful reasons to remind you why you should talk less and listen more.

#1 - Hear the wisdom others are imparting to you

When you’re listening more than talking you can be more present so you can hear the wisdom that others are giving you to deal with your personal situation. While you’re busy trying to get your 2 cents in you may be missing valuable instructions that are vital to your own success.

#2 - You are open to inspired ideas

As you’re listening, inspired ideas come to you easily and effortlessly because you are open to receive and not preoccupied with your own mental chatter. Inspired ideas are always flowing but you must be present and in a listening mode to receive them.

#3 - Learn more

You realize you don’t know everything and are open to learn something new. Even the information you already know has a fresh perspective if you’re open to learn more. The trees around that you see each and every day has a new lesson to share with you if you’re open to learn something new.

#4 – Develop your listening skills

You hear more than what another person is verbally saying. You also “hear” their non-verbal words as well the truth of what the other person is actually saying. Many times we’re too busy trying to get in our own words that we’re not paying attention to the other person’s deeper pain.

#5 – Develop your personal charm

You are less self-absorbed and become more interested in what others have to say than just your own words. Your personal charm shines through as you are truly interested in the other person.

#6 – Clarity of mind

Listening clears and quiets your mind causing you to become calmer, ‘in the flow’ and more in tuned with nature and your environment.

#7 – Develop your intuition

Listening develops your intuition. You learn to trust and follow your inner guidance which helps you make more accurate and wiser decisions. Following your inner guidance gets you away from danger even when your conscious mind is unaware of the actual danger that’s lurking.

Did you know that deepening your spirituality and having a routine of regular quiet time in meditation reduces your stress and helps you become calmer and gain clarity?

If you're tired of feeling tired and you had enough of being stressed out, I'd like to invite you to a Free 30- minute Self-Empowerment Coaching Session. Let's end the vicious cycle and help you manage your stress levels, your emotions and take control of your life.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management - Part 10

Take one day at a time, one task at a time, one step at a time

3 Tips to Break Down Tasks to Manageable Stress-Free Levels (Action Steps Included)

Ever find yourself being overwhelmed, frustrated and then depressed because of all the things that you need to get done? Responsibilities can range from preparing meals, cleaning house, getting the laundry done, doing an efficient and effective job on your business or at work to finding time to nurture yourself. How do you deal with all of this without becoming so stressed out in the process?

The next 3 tips will help you break your tasks down to manageable stress-free levels.

Tip #1 – Take one day at a time

You cannot live in tomorrow. Today is here and you need to deal with what’s on your plate for today. Worrying about tomorrow never resolves anything. The only thing worrying does is add more pressure and anxiety on you. What you focus on doing efficiently today will influence tomorrow. So do what can be and what must be done today and don’t put off what you can do today for tomorrow.

Action Step – Ask yourself, “What’s the most important thing that I need to get done today?” Prioritize your tasks with the most important on top and the least at the bottom and check them off as you get each task completed.

Tip #2 – Do one task at a time

You can only walk through one door at a time. Instead of focusing on all the things that you must get done, focus on completing one task at a time. Are you a multi-tasker? Multi-tasking may not always be the most effective or efficient way to get your work done. However, if you focus to completion one task you can quickly move to the other and in no time you’ll find that you’re getting more done in less time.

Action Step – Look at how many tasks your most important project has and then put in order which one needs to be done first, then second, then third etc. Focus on getting number one done and then move on quickly into the second followed by the third.

Tip #3 – One step at a time

Each task that must be completed has smaller steps to take to complete the whole. It’s like going to the grocery store. You need to take one step at a time before you get there; like getting your keys to your car, going outside to the car, unlocking the door, getting in, starting the engine, and all the in between steps to driving the car, taking smaller roads that lead to main roads which takes you to the grocery store.

Every step counts. It all adds up to making your grocery store experience a reality. You know that by doing these small steps you will get to the grocery store.

Now it’s time to apply the same principle in the tasks that you begin and lessen your stress by focusing on the step you need to take right now that will automatically take you to the next step until you reach your goal.

Action Step – Look at the action steps that you’re taking that are sabotaging your efforts to completing your tasks. Are you chatting on the phone or texting your friends when you should be cleaning or doing your work? Why not wait until you’ve completed your tasks and then get together with your friends?

Look at other ways you could be using your time wisely so you can quickly get through your most important tasks and still have time for the other things that are not so important.

Keys to Successful Living and Stress Management – Part 7

7 Ways to Simplify and Unclutter Your Life

It’s amazing how we can collect so many things in our lives. Some of them we don’t really need or even have the space to put them. You probably bought stuff that you didn’t even need and finally got tucked away somewhere in another corner in your house.

More stuff complicates things, taking up room that you could use for the other more important stuff or allow the free energy to flow inhibited through your house and life.

Okay, so let’s look at how we can begin to simplify things and start getting rid of the unnecessary stuff – mentally and physically - and unclutter our lives.

#1 – Your body

You have excess fat that's cluttering your cells? Then, now is the time to make a decision to get rid of the unwanted excess weight and free up your system from the extra work it has to do. Think of the benefit to you if you felt lighter, healthier and more energized. Your system will thank you for it.

Instead of undertaking a very ambitious approach which could lead you to feelings of overwhelm or discouragement, start with small changes in your diet - changes that you know you could stick with.

#2 – Your mind

Our minds entertain many thoughts on a daily basis, many of them recurring over and over again, and some being more dominant than others.

And like a garden, you need to regularly monitor and weed your thoughts from the weeds of negativity in order for the positive thought crop to have the opportunity to grow from your focused attention.

If you pay attention to your thoughts, you begin to see a pattern to the thoughts that most dominate your mind. From there you can measure if these thoughts are positive in their creativity or negative. Are these thoughts creating the future I desire or am I trying to push away things from my life by focusing on that which I don't desire to see manifest in my reality? How can I change this thought to one that is positive? What is it I desire?

#3 – Your spirit

If we are not constantly keeping watch and regularly weeding the garden of our spirits we will not be able to benefit from receiving the full 'nutrients' from our Source.

If our lives are cluttered with weeds which choke out that which is essential for our survival and growth how can we expect to live to our fullest potential doing what we were meant to do naturally without being inhibited?

#4 – Your career

If you find yourself despising your job, your career, then, it is time to consider doing some weeding to getting into the place you were meant to be. Or if you find that your career is not fulfilling your inner passion and life purpose then you need to re-examine your position and move in the direction of beginning to make changes. Knowing what you feel joy in doing or what you feel passionate about is the first step before you can make a decision to do what you love to do. Once you know that then you can move to the next step. What do you love to do?

#5 – Your clothes

If you are keeping clothes you've not worn in many years with the thought that one day you'll fit into them, why not consider giving them away to someone who could use them right away instead of waiting for someday that may never get here.

Giving gets you out of the attitude of hoarding and into activating the law of giving and receiving. You're allowing the flow of renewal into your life.

#6 – Your social life

Because the people we hang out with on a regular basis tend to influence the way we think and ultimately behave, it is therefore imperative that we choose our friends with care. Our friends should lift us to a higher level than where we are and encourage us to be the best we can be. If you find that the friends you're hanging out with are not leading you in a way that enhances your life it's time to think about uncluttering your social life.

#7 – Your time

Once our time is gone, we could never retrieve that moment, it is gone forever. Therefore observing how you use your time will give you indicators as to how it's being spent and what adjustments need to be made to gain the maximum benefit of your time. Observe your daily routines. You'll begin to see patterns emerge - things that you do on a regular basis. Be the silent observer of you.

7 Ways To Always Count Your Blessings Not Your Troubles For A Happier Life

Why count your blessings and not your troubles? Counting your blessings puts you into a state of gratitude which opens the flow to attract more happiness and abundance into your life.

Are you making a mountain out of your ‘molehill’ troubles? Whatever you focus on expands and appears bigger than what may be true in your life. The more you focus on what you don’t have the more dissatisfied with life you become.

When you turn your attention to all the goodness that you already have you’ll find that you’ll begin to see things you hadn’t noticed before and feel more appreciative of your life.

Let’s look at 7 ways in different aspects of your life that you can begin to count your blessings instead of your troubles.

Blessing #1 - Your Vision

You are here reading this article right? Be thankful that you do have the capability to read this article so you can enrich your life. Some people are not that fortunate; either because they can’t read or they can’t see to find the information themselves to read it. And if you know someone in your life that could use this information and they can’t read you can be the source of light for them and read it for them. How about that for doing your good deed?

Blessing #2 – Your Health

Were you able to get up this morning, have your favourite breakfast, go for a walk? Many aren’t able to do that, so you have much to be thankful for. Without your health you couldn’t possibly enjoy doing all the activities you usually take for granted each day.

Blessing #3 – Your Partner

Your partner may not do all the things that you’d want him to do or in the way you’d like her to but don’t wait until he or she is no longer in your life to regret appreciating them. Look for the good in your partner. Sometimes the good seems clouded over by the not so good but remember that molehill we were talking about earlier? Well, if you shift your mind to appreciating the good, you’ll begin to find that you see more of your partner’s positive attributes than the negative.

Blessing #4 – Your Child(ren)

Your child giving you stress right now? Maybe it’s time to rethink how you respond to him or her. Love is always the answer to any situation and when you let the energy of love to be foremost in your discipline the result will always be positive in the long run. It’s an honoured privilege to be a parent as it teaches you many lessons of patience and selflessness and a whole lot more.

Blessing #5 – Your Friends

Got some really good friends? They’re the ones that won’t allow you to wallow in self-pity, the ones that will sometimes be annoying when you want to give up but are there to prod you along. Be happy they’re there in your life right now. Good friends are priceless.

Blessings #6 – Your Parents

Your parents were chosen by divine appointment, though you may have some regrets if you didn’t have the greatest childhood. But look for the positive lessons you’ve learned along the way. If you had great parents, then be thankful too that their lessons, their lives have shaped you into the person you are today.

Blessings #7 – You

This one may be the most important of all 7 of these blessings – You. You are here and you are the most important piece of the puzzle to your happiness. You can change you. Regardless of your past, you can start again. No matter what happened today, yesterday, 10 years ago, you can choose to begin again. It is all – You.

What other blessings can you think of?

Fret not thyself – 7 Steps to Overcome Worry

Worry brings stress and blocks inspiration, not to mention how it negatively affects your health.

Life is filled with many joys but can also come with many challenges. How you choose to respond to these challenges determines your quality of life. So here are 7 steps you can use to overcome worry from your life.

Step 1 – Release the stress that comes from your struggle

You know that tension you feel when you’re worried about how things are going to turn out; like how you’re going to pay your bills, pass that exam, the outcome of the medical test. Consciously release that tension from your mind, visualize it going downstream away from you.

Step 2 – Relax your mind

Inhale and then exhale all of that tension. Relax your mind. Let it go. As you inhale, visualize renewed life-energy filling your mind and body. What you are doing here is removing any blockages that will stop the flow of creativity so you can find a positive solution to your situation or at least see things from a positive perspective.

Step 3 – Turn inward to your power strength

If you’re looking outward to find a solution you may end up being disappointed. Your strength comes from within. Turn your attention inward to the place of inner peace. Feel that peace in your mind. In that place of peace inspiration flows easily and effortlessly. You are unencumbered by the entanglements of care.

Step 4 – Draw strength from within

Consciously draw renewed strength from the Universal Spirit. Feel yourself being filled with strength to take the next step, to face another day, to soar over your challenging situation.

Step 5 – Decide what you want the outcome to be

Setting your intention for what you want the outcome to be creates the energy signal that causes the universal power to work on your behalf to bring you the best possible outcome. It also turns your attention onto the positive outcome as opposed to the fear of getting what you don’t want.

Step 6 – Expect the best

Always expect the best outcome. Trust that all is working out on your behalf in the best possible way. Know that the Universal Spirit is bringing together all the people, events and circumstances to create the best outcome for you.

Step 7 – Release the outcome

Allow the Universal Spirit to choose the best path to manifest your desire and rest in that assurance that all is well. Follow along with inner guidance. Sometimes the path chosen may not be how we intended it to be but trust that the result will be perhaps even better than we anticipated.

Attribute to Successful Living and How to Prevent Stress

One of my subscribers sent this to me and I thought it could be useful to you.

Stress really affects our health and the more that we could cut down on ways to lessen situations that create more stress in our lives, the better our health.

Here's what Justine Aragones shared:

Several months ago, my mother, a public school teacher, attended a seminar on effective stress management thus I am happy to share with you what my mother learned:

1) Fret not thyself.
2) Always count your blessings and not your troubles.
3) Be what you really are. Do not act otherwise just to impress people.
4) Get organized so everything has its place.
5) Say "NO" to projects/activities that won't fit your time, schedule or that will compromise your mental health.
6) Delegate tasks to capable others.
7) Simplify and unclutter your life.
8) Learn to forgive; It's hard to live with a heavy heart.
9) Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
10) Take one day at a time, one task at a time, one step at a time.
11) Talk less, listen more.
12) KMS(Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
13) Never propose or promise anything you are not sure to do.
14) Plan on how to spend your money. Uncontrolled and impulsive spending is the root cause of all financial worries.
15) Always take time for simple pleasures.
16) Be good to all and practice kindness.
17) Practice appreciation and instead of criticism, ridicule, scolding and fault finding.
18) Learn to really love people.
19) Delete lies in your system.
20) Pray all the time.

These are some really powerful points and starting next week, each week I'll do an article and expand on each one of these topics.

In my busy schedule, I'm looking for ways to simplify my own life and spend more time with my family, enjoying the moment and really deepen my spiritual connection even further.

How about you? What are you doing to reduce stress in your life?
