It's Up To Me

I get discouraged now and then
When there are clouds of gray,
Until I think about the things
That happened yesterday,
I do not mean the day before
Or those of months ago,
But all the yesterdays in which
I had the chance to grow.
I think of opportunities
That I allowed to die,
And those I took advantage of
Before they passed me by.
And I remember that the past
Presented quite a plight,
But somehow I endured it and
The future seemed all right.
And I remind myself that I
Am capable and free,
And my success and happiness
Are really up to me.

by James J. Metcalfe - excerpt taken from Bob Proctor's, You Were Born Rich - Chapter 3 - The Image Maker - http://www.bobproctordownloads.com/BornRichBook.pdf

You can create your life in whatever way you choose. The question is, "What will you choose?" Here's another, "Did you know that you CAN choose?"

Determine now that you will take the time to design our life. You can you know.

1. See the image of your ideal life in your mind's eyes.
2. Once you become clear on your image begin to take steps toward living your image.
3. Keep pressing forward until you realize your dream regardless of what comes your way.
4. Believe that you can and you will.

You're One of a Kind - Did you Know?

Whenever you feel insignificant, like you don't matter, read the poem below and choose to believe different. You, with your unique style, elegance and flare have been put on this planet, in this era, with your talents and personality to fill the earth with your intricate beauty and radiance.

You are not a duplicate of another. You have been uniquely designed. Square your shoulders, lift your head and walk in confidence knowing that you have a right to be here and what you have to contribute is irreplaceable.

One and Only You

Every single blade of grass,
And every flake of snow -
Is just a wee bit different...
There's no two alike, you know.

From something small,
Like grains of sand,
To each gigantic star
All were made with THIS in mind:
To be just what they are!

How foolish then, to imitate-
How useless to pretend!
Since each of us comes from MIND
Whose ideas never end.

There'll only be just ONE of ME.
To show what I can do -
And you should likewise feel very proud,
There's only ONE of YOU.

That is where it all starts
With you, a wonderful unlimited human being.

Giving - The Secret to Abundance

The secret to abundance in any area of your life - whether health, relationship, finances - is in giving. When we sow seeds of goodness every day, they will grow with us and manifest in our future. Whatever area you feel impoverished in, enrich your life by giving and see your life overflow with beauty.

This poem of giving comes from Arthur William Beer, excerpt taken from 'You Were Born Rich' by Bob Proctor.

To get he had tried, yet his store was still meager.
To a wise man he cried, in a voice keen and eager;
Pray tell me how I may successfully live?
And the wise man replied, "To get you must give."

As to giving he said, "What have I to give?"
I've scarce enough bread, and of course one must live;
But I would partake of Life's bountiful store.
Came the wise man's response; "Then you must give more."

The lesson he learned; to get was forgotten,
Toward mankind he turned with a love new begotten.
As he gave of himself in useful living,
Then joy crowned his days, for he grew rich in giving.

Forgive

Need to forgive someone today? The past holding you back from moving on? Forgive! Let it go and be free to fly.

That slight misdeed of yesterday, why should it mar today?
The thing he said, the thing you did, have long since passed away;
For yesterday was but a trial; today you will succeed,
And from mistakes of yesterday will come some noble deed.

Forgive yourself for thoughtlessness, do not condemn the past;
For it is gone with its mistakes; their mem'ry cannot last;
Forget the failures and misdeed, from such experience rise,
Why would you let your head be bowed?
Lift up your heart and eyes!"

Let us not look back in anger nor forward in fear but around us in awareness. - Leland Val Van De Wall
