Our predominant thoughts draw the conditions and circumstances needed to manifest our desires. The old tapes that we play in our heads day after day become embedded within our subconscious mind and keep growing as we continually feed them with our thoughts and emotions. We need to change these predominant thoughts to overcome our feelings of inferiority complex.
Use the following 3 action steps
1 ) Conscious self-awareness
Being consciously aware of your predominant thoughts and emotions will put you in a better place to be able to change them. You can’t change something that you’re not aware exists. Self-awareness is the first step to changing a habit. Then you can take positive action steps to create the new habit you desire. Take the time to look within to yourself and write down your predominant thoughts and emotions.
2) What do you desire to accomplish?
Whatever it is you discover from your self-awareness assessment that are your predominant thoughts and emotions, whether they are feelings of being not good enough, other people are better than you or that you’ll never amount to anything, it’s time to focus on what you want to change. Do you want to feel like you’re good enough as anybody else? Or do you want to feel that even though others may have accomplished physical merits does not mean that they’re better than you? What’s the mindset you want to create? Write this down as well.
3) Practice the new mindset
Now that you know what you want to accomplish, this is where you begin to focus your attention on every day. Rehearse your new mindset. Spend a few minutes several times a day to think about, visualize and connect emotionally with your new mindset. See yourself being that new person. Whenever the old thoughts and emotions come back, do the mental shift and remind yourself of the new change you want to manifest in your life.
And just like any new skill, it takes time and repetition until we master it. It’s taken you many years of accepting yourself as being not good enough and feeling that other people are better than you. So it will take some time to create the new habit of accepting yourself as being equal to others and deserving of all the good that life has to offer. Be determined but be patient with yourself.
Even if you fall back or face setbacks in your mental progress, keep trying, keep practicing. Eventually, your mind will get used to the new programming and you’ll get better in controlling your thoughts and emotions.
Changing your life may seem like an overwhelming frustrating process. But it doesn't have to be if you're given simple doable step-by-step strategies that will get you from where you are to where you want to be.
