Change your Life in 2010 - 5 Steps to Release the Past Negative Experiences and Change your Life in 2010

Releasing the negative experiences of the past elevates you to a higher level of living. Whatever regrets you have of the past, whatever the hurt, whatever the disappointment, it's time to release it and move on. But exactly how do you release the past? How do you let go of pain that goes deep within? How do you rise up above the disappointments, the failures, the fears so you could move on?

These 5 steps give you some guidelines to rise you up over the negative experiences of the past.

1) Decision

For every situation you ever change or will change in your life you start with a decision. You decide if you will continue to allow the negative past experiences to dictate how you currently choose to feel. Or you will take control of your decisions and decide that you are master over your emotions. Once you make that decision, the next step allows you to shape your mindset.

2) Conscious letting go

"I release these negative feelings from my mind and my heart and I choose to embrace feelings of love, joy and peace." When you make a conscious decision to release and let go of the negativity of the past you're sending positive energy through your body that positions you to attract more positive emotions.

3) Shift the mental thinking

Find the positive in the situation and focus on it. Shift your mental thinking from the past negative experience and look for the positive. Every cloud has a silver lining. No matter how dark the cloud may be there's always a positive. Ask within, "What's the lesson here? What good could come out of this?" And expect it, even if you may not see it at the moment.

4) Practice

A baby learns to walk by practicing over and over again until she learns to walk without falling. If you've taken up a new craft, like knitting or anything else, it will take regular practice until you become better at it. Remember, if your habitual way of thinking is to focus on the negative or look at things from a negative perspective, it will take regular practice and determination to create the new way of looking for the positive in every situation.

5) Live in the now

Whether it's 5 minutes or 5 years, whatever your negative experience, it is in the past. Many times we have difficulty differentiating between the two, the past and the current. We bring the past negative emotion into the present and relive it over and over even though the actual situation that caused the negative emotion in the first place no longer exists.

One way of dealing with these emotions is to say, "This is not happening to me right now. It is the past. I choose to release it, look for the positive and move on." Sometimes I may experience emotions that are more difficult to let go.

If you've ever had the emotions that overwhelm you to the point that you feel that you're not able to shake them right away these are the steps I take to rise up over them.

1) I look at the feeling.
2) I acknowledge how I'm feeling - sad, frustrated, mad etc.
3) I say what I'm mad, sad or frustrated about, giving the emotion an outlet to release.
4) I consciously make the mental shift to look at my situation from a positive angle.
5) I allow myself to feel the positive emotion.
6) If I find I can't release them, I look within to the Spirit and ask for help, "Please help me rise up above this emotion." We are not without help when we feel helpless or overwhelmed. We connect to the Source of our power and are uplifted to a higher place.

You have the tools you need to begin to release and let go of the negative experiences of the past and transform your life from the inside out in 2010.

Change your life in 2010 - 5 Reasons why you should release past negative experiences

We've come to the end of another year. Whatever regrets you have of the past, whatever the hurt, whatever the disappointment, it's time to release it and move on. But why should you release the past negative experiences? Why should you let go? These 5 reasons will show you why releasing negative experiences is essential to change your life.

1) The past becomes the fabric of tomorrow's lifestyle

By holding on to your past hurts and disappointments, you are allowing the thoughts of the past experiences to create your lifestyle tomorrow. They influence your emotional well-being and therefore manifest in your reality as recreated events from past experiences.

2) The past weighs you down

Holding on to past negative experiences weigh you down emotionally, so you're not free to move on from the negative experience. It slowly eats away at you from the core, defiles your inner sanctuary and removes you from a place of inner peace.

3) Experience the new

When you release the past negative experiences, you free yourself to engage in new positive experiences. You are therefore not mentally preoccupying your time with things that don't add value to your life. But you can now use your imagination, thoughts and emotions to attract to you enriching life experiences.

4) Shift into positive emotional gear

Negative situations tend to bring along with them negative emotions. However, if you release the negative emotion, you'll shift into the positive emotional gear of joy and peace and intentionally stir up these feeling. This positive emotional energy field draws into you more of the positive experiences causing the negativity to lose its hold on you.

5) Learn from past negative experiences

For every experience we ever encounter, whether we perceive the experience as positive or not, contains a valuable life lesson. The window through which we view these experiences will determine if the outcome leaves a positive or negative impact on our lives.

Let 2010 be the year that you take your negative experiences of 2009 and turn them into stepping stones to change and enhance your life.

The Perfect Christmas Tree - Never Give Up!

I wish for you and your family a very Merry Christmas. I hope that I've been an inspiration to you this past year and I look forward to being a blessing to you and inspire you to change from the inside out in the coming New Year.

Recently my husband and the older children went out to cut down a Christmas tree. They kept searching and searching for the perfect tree, some were either too tall or too short or the branches were too sparsely ordered or scraggly looking. They soon became discouraged and were about to give up when they found the perfect tree shaded beneath some taller pine trees.

This tree now sits fully decorated in our living room bringing joy to our children this season.

It is so too in life that if we allow discouragement to set in, even though we may be so close to our goal, we could miss out the enjoyment reward for all our searching and working towards achieving our goals.

This Christmas, let us enjoy the season but keep our eyes focus on what we've set out to achieve until we have found our 'perfect Christmas tree', the achievement of our goals.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

7 Life-changing experiences of 2009

What life-changing experiences do you recall in 2009? Did you achieve all your goals? Were your experiences positive ones or did you see the positive in your situation?

Here are 7 of me and my family's life-changing experiences of 2009.

1) A new addition to the family

January - Roxella, our 7th baby was born. We had an amazing home birth which was an exciting time to welcome our new baby girl.

I'm so thankful that this time, out of 7 births, I was not induced. My labour came on naturally - my 2009 miracle experience. This is something I had prayed for and set my mind and intention to go through this all natural in spite of my past track record of being induced. Once you set your heart and mind to achieve your goal, the universe - God, will work everything in order to bring you what you desire.

Roxella came right out into my husband's hands. This experience is one that we would truly cherish as a precious memory.

2) Grew a home vegetable and flower garden

For the first time, our family succeeded in growing a vegetable and flower garden. This experience I've shared with you during the spring, summer and fall months and I've shared the invaluable lessons learned along the way. We've seen life and nature from a different viewpoint and the lessons they taught us are so applicable and transferable to many areas of our lives.

Want to have hands on, step-by-step tutoring to change your life? Try growing a garden and pay attention to these rich life-changing lessons. Your life will never be the same again.

3) Changed my workout and eating habits

My work habits changed tremendously. I've incorporated gardening into my workout routine which gave me amazing results. We also cut out red meat from our diet and are continuing to make more healthy eating decisions. With the harvest from our garden, this made the transition a bit easier for us.

4) Changed my hibernating ways

I've got to admit, I've always hibernated when the winters came in. Unless I had to go outdoors, I'd stay inside. This year I decided that I'm going to change the way I looked at things regarding the winter. I know that I could regulate my body temperature by a simple method of just changing the way I thought about it which makes a big difference in any one's enjoyment of an activity. The way we think really does define the way we experience life.

I kept up my walking even through the snow days and on those snowy days I shovelled the snow as well as jogged. The workout I get from shovelling really gives me an all over body workout. Don't forget to bend your knees so you don't hurt your back.

5) Completed eBooks

My husband, 3 eldest daughters and I completed our eBooks. This life-changing experience has set the stage for many more exciting opportunities for 2010.

6) Did something new

My husband embarked on a new journey of creativity. He built his first picnic bench and gazebo providing us with added shade for the hot summer and a good hang out spot where I could continue my work and the children do their art work and craft. He also built a desk from scratch with seating for 6.

7) Shared Thanksgiving with a friend

Before our friend and neighbour died, he was invited over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. Little did we know it would have been our last time spent together. My husband felt the strong urge to invite him for dinner and today we are so thankful we had the opportunity to open our home to him for the last time.

I'm so thankful and appreciate you my readers and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. You may not have achieved all the things you wanted to in 2009, but today is a new day. And you can begin again right now and allow your tomorrows to be filled with the fruit of your thoughts today.

I look forward to sharing more inspiring thoughts, insights, tips and steps to changing your life from the inside out.

Feel free to add a comment about your 2009 experiences.

Creating Unconditional Miracles -Taking Control

Approximately 10 years ago, on a freezing July night, the cold, hard, truth hit me like a freight train.

NO ONE WAS COMING TO MY RESCUE.

On our bedroom floor, my wife was giving birth to our son, he'd come so quickly that we had just called the hospital to tell them we were on our way. But we never made it out of the house.

The complication was he was breech, and when he had come out to his shoulders, the contractions stopped and he stopped coming. My wife and I stayed calm, but for all my trying I just could not get his head out.

While this was happening my sister had called an ambulance, but we were stuck in this position for about 15 minutes before they arrived and were able to fully deliver him.

What I didn't realize was that the umbilical cord was obstructed and our baby was suffering asphyxiation. When he was finally born our boy was blue, and his heart rate was 40 beats per minute when it should have been 140 beats per minute.

As the paramedics worked on our son, pumping oxygen into his lungs, with a hand pump, I went outside to talk to God.

I'd been studying faith at a local church for a while, and had achieved some small successes. One of the scriptures that has always impressed on me the most was Mark 11:24 "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be though removed and be though cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he says."

This scripture told me I had to take responsibility in the situation, and not wait for something to happen, but make something happen.

I felt strength flow through me as I reminded God what this scripture said. I told God that I was not going to ask for anything but that I was going to take control of the situation.

I had a strong belief that parents are supposed to protect their children, not just naturally but spiritually as well.

I also could not accept the idea that a child would be born just to die ten minutes later.

After my conversation with God I felt fearless and determined. When I went back into the house the main paramedic pulled me aside and asked me if he could have a word with me. With a grim look on his face and a professional tone in his voice he told me, "I don't think the little blokes gonna make it."

This was a defining moment, I refused to become afraid and accept his opinion!

Looking directly into his eyes I replied "No he is going to be fine." I know I must have had a look that said I meant business, because the paramedic backed off immediately with a quick reply "Yer Okay".

It's amazing how quickly people will change their mind and come into agreement with you when you are clear and absolute about something.

Upon entering the hospital I repeated with conviction "No he's going to make it, He's gonna be just fine," to any one that spoke to me.

As I stood back and watched Doctors and Nurses buzzing around my son in a hive of activity, things became surreal.

A smiling woman in a white coat approached, "You know when they called in, I thought they'd be bringing in a dead baby, but it's a miracle, they've done a great job, he's looking good."

Of course our baby did survive.

But the next day he was placed in intensive care. At a meeting with the head of intensive care, the Doctor explained to us that our baby was "fitting" and this was most likely because he would have suffered brain damage and organ damage due to the lack of oxygen he received during birth. At this point, once again I reassured the Doctor, "No, don't worry, he's going to be just fine." Because of what we had just been through, I thought there's no way I'm going to start backing off now.

About this time we were interviewed by the hospital psychologist, to see how we were handling the fact our baby would be severely handicapped. After the meeting my wife sneaked a peek at the psychologist's clipboard and notes. Among other things, my wife noticed the statement "This couple is not prepared for failure." It was not written as a positive statement, but I found it incredibly empowering.

The ward is divided into ten sections. Section one for the sickest babies and our son was in this section. Some babies are in section one for months and some never get well. However, within two days our son was in section three and in three days he was in section nine. Within another three days we were taking him home in absolutely perfect condition.

Since that time I have pushed myself to learn as much as possible about this incredible power that saved my son's life.

What I have learnt I have applied to many different areas of my life, I have used this power to transform my near bankrupt, failing business into a thriving prosperous company that has allowed me an income that has totally changed my lifestyle.

I have seen this power make cancer and arthritis completely disappear from people's bodies.

I have seen it transform children with learning difficulties and sleeping problems into peaceful intelligent, happy kids.

I have seen it do many incredible, wonderful things in relationships, and every area of life. I believe this power controls the world, and I believe it exists for the benefit of mankind.

I truly believe it's the answer to every obstacle we face.

"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." John8:32
