Dealing with transition periods - Part 5

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 89

When our corn reached a certain height, we had to transplant them to give them more room to grow and position them as well so they can pollinate each other. We were very careful in exposing the roots and when digging them out we made sure that there was enough soil around them so their roots were not disturbed.

Some did well and kept growing while others seemed to struggle a bit. We put small trenches through the corn and watered them real well. With all the water they got these staggering corn picked up in growth and are doing well. Some have already begun to show their ears.

During a time of transition, in order to bounce back quickly, staying close to your Source, the rich Soil of the Spirit is your lifeline. If you make this your way of life, when transition comes, your roots will remain strong. Though shaken and perhaps disoriented, and even if at times things make no sense, you know that all is working out for your good. You know that this too will pass; it's only a passing cloud. After every storm, the clouds clear and the sky is visible again.

Nature shows us clearly so we have hope that the sun will shine again. Go deep into the soil of the Spirit, have an open heart, be flexible and flow with the Spirit.

Even if you may not have been connected with the Spirit as you'd like, no worry, it's never too late to start. Get close and get deep so you can begin to see your way clearly and come out of the confusion and frustration that transitions can draw you into. Get closer to the Light that your way may be brightened.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 4

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 88

We've found that when the plants were deep watered as opposed to being surface watered they picked up from their slow growth. Every morning when we go out to the garden, after having deep watered them the night before, we observed that these plants had gotten bigger overnight.

Connecting deep into the soil of the Spirit and drawing life from the Living Water allows your spirit to soar and you begin to grow. You become more in tuned with the guidance of the Spirit and in moving with the natural flow of the Spirit all debris is moved from your path. You begin to see your way more clearly. Answers to questions come easier. Your desires manifest more quickly.

You can choose to surface water your life - dealing with situations only from an outward point of view and in the way every else does - complaining about it, becoming depressed or frustrated and giving into struggle and despair. Or you could go the way of the Spirit, deep within the soil or the heart of the Spirit, looking within to God and allow Spirit's guidance to effortlessly manifest in your life.

Look inward to the Spirit, as the starting point for all your needs, and you will see your transition period as a golden moment in your life and an opportunity for the Spirit to take you to a new level of growth.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 2

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 86

The effects of the transition period

Plants go through a recovery period when transplanted from indoors to outdoors. To break the shock of this period, plants are hardened (which is a gradual taking outdoor and back indoors) to get them used to the harsher outdoor conditions.

When these seedlings are transplanted into the ground they need to get used to their new environment. Some of them appear droopy at first and soon continues to grow, some show slow growth while others never quite make the adjustment, wilt away and die

People also go through this recovery period in the transition process. Some go through the process of 'culture shock', others seem a bit lost while some never recover from the change. Given time, the will to survive kicks in and the strong find a way to adjust and move forward in pursuit of their purpose.

Some of our seedlings, even though they had not died, never grew and never wilted. They remained the same size as when we transplanted them. Some struggled for a while until the growth process kicked in. Others, which were droopy at first, when watered, quickly adjusted and are now flowering on their way to full fruit.

Consider this: If you have ever gone through a transition process, how did you do? Have you recovered or are you still struggling? Are you beginning to wilt?

Becoming aware of where you are is the first step toward finding the solution to encouraging your personal growth and propel you out of the rut you're in and onto to finding and living your life purpose to full fruit.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 1

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 85

In early spring, we got ready for the planting season by sowing the seeds indoors and allowed them to germinate and grow to the point where they were ready to go into the ground as soon as the threat of frost was gone. Once that time had come, we got them ready to be transplanted from the indoor pots into the outdoor garden which is the natural environment for them to grow, thrive and fulfill their life purpose by bearing fruit.

Many of us go through a transition period at different stages of our lives. For one reason or another, whether it's for business, education, social upheaval, personal reasons or pleasure, we move from one part of a country to another or from one country to another for a better chance to enhance our lives.

This transition, whether conscious or not, is a vital point of our growth and development. It's the next level in our personal lives and though it may feel like we are being uprooted from our place of comfort and all the emotions and adjustments that go with it, we are being rooted and positioned to get us in the natural environment suitable for development of our life purpose.

Being open and embracing change makes the transition easier.
