Dealing with transition periods - Part 5

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 89

When our corn reached a certain height, we had to transplant them to give them more room to grow and position them as well so they can pollinate each other. We were very careful in exposing the roots and when digging them out we made sure that there was enough soil around them so their roots were not disturbed.

Some did well and kept growing while others seemed to struggle a bit. We put small trenches through the corn and watered them real well. With all the water they got these staggering corn picked up in growth and are doing well. Some have already begun to show their ears.

During a time of transition, in order to bounce back quickly, staying close to your Source, the rich Soil of the Spirit is your lifeline. If you make this your way of life, when transition comes, your roots will remain strong. Though shaken and perhaps disoriented, and even if at times things make no sense, you know that all is working out for your good. You know that this too will pass; it's only a passing cloud. After every storm, the clouds clear and the sky is visible again.

Nature shows us clearly so we have hope that the sun will shine again. Go deep into the soil of the Spirit, have an open heart, be flexible and flow with the Spirit.

Even if you may not have been connected with the Spirit as you'd like, no worry, it's never too late to start. Get close and get deep so you can begin to see your way clearly and come out of the confusion and frustration that transitions can draw you into. Get closer to the Light that your way may be brightened.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 4

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 88

We've found that when the plants were deep watered as opposed to being surface watered they picked up from their slow growth. Every morning when we go out to the garden, after having deep watered them the night before, we observed that these plants had gotten bigger overnight.

Connecting deep into the soil of the Spirit and drawing life from the Living Water allows your spirit to soar and you begin to grow. You become more in tuned with the guidance of the Spirit and in moving with the natural flow of the Spirit all debris is moved from your path. You begin to see your way more clearly. Answers to questions come easier. Your desires manifest more quickly.

You can choose to surface water your life - dealing with situations only from an outward point of view and in the way every else does - complaining about it, becoming depressed or frustrated and giving into struggle and despair. Or you could go the way of the Spirit, deep within the soil or the heart of the Spirit, looking within to God and allow Spirit's guidance to effortlessly manifest in your life.

Look inward to the Spirit, as the starting point for all your needs, and you will see your transition period as a golden moment in your life and an opportunity for the Spirit to take you to a new level of growth.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 3

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 87

Seedlings are transplanted into the outdoor garden in order for them to have the space and environment they need to promote healthy growth. If they remain indoors in the seemingly cozy comfort of their small pots they can no longer thrive there. This is a recipe for stunted growth. If left in theirs pots they may never reach their full potential of fruit bearing. The outdoor garden has the room and depth for their roots and exposure to full sunlight to aid the growth process.

It is important to note that every transition stage that we encounter has the potential for personal growth and leads us closer to and position us to fulfilling our life purpose. The key is to recognize that this period of change is an opportunity for open doors in new places for you.

Some questions to consider - Why am I here? What lessons am I to learn now? What do I desire to see happening in my life?

Two years ago our family went through a life-changing transition period which brought from one part of Canada to another. Even though we understood that we were facing a transition period, there were many uncertainties. But one thing that kept us was that we remained closer to our inner Source.

As we traveled from province to province until we reached our final destination we kept an open heart to the direction of the Spirit. Our full attention was focused on the Spirit's guidance and simple, yet profound signals that led us along the way.

Everything fell into place as we followed with our inner ear keenly perked for the next instruction. We've asked many times after our journey ended what is our purpose and have paid attention as it unfolds. We have had many invaluable experiences which would not have occurred if we had remained in our original place.

Many may lose their way in this transition period. But if you turn within, spending time in the silence, the answers come to you as you ask the questions. You are where you are because it is time to move to another phase in your life - a step closer to your life purpose.

Dealing with transition periods - Part 1

Tending the garden of the heart - Day 85

In early spring, we got ready for the planting season by sowing the seeds indoors and allowed them to germinate and grow to the point where they were ready to go into the ground as soon as the threat of frost was gone. Once that time had come, we got them ready to be transplanted from the indoor pots into the outdoor garden which is the natural environment for them to grow, thrive and fulfill their life purpose by bearing fruit.

Many of us go through a transition period at different stages of our lives. For one reason or another, whether it's for business, education, social upheaval, personal reasons or pleasure, we move from one part of a country to another or from one country to another for a better chance to enhance our lives.

This transition, whether conscious or not, is a vital point of our growth and development. It's the next level in our personal lives and though it may feel like we are being uprooted from our place of comfort and all the emotions and adjustments that go with it, we are being rooted and positioned to get us in the natural environment suitable for development of our life purpose.

Being open and embracing change makes the transition easier.
